Opposite of the must do's each trip- which restaurants @ WDW would you not return to?

Hmm... I would not, emphasis on the not, go to the San Angel Inn again. The whole place was jam packed with families, :crowded: but there were only 5-6 waiters. The drinks and bread were OK, but the uttered words "I'll have the Chicken Fajita, please", went out of my mouth, while some shrively piece of beef was forced to go in. It's a shame they have such poor service, b/c my family loves Mexican food. :sad2:

-Sneezy :woohoo:

Mine would be Crystal Palace for dinner - food quality/taste was not up to the quality of our neighborhood buffets. Atmosphere was great as was the character interaction. Service was average. We had quite a wait for our ADR as well, longer than any of our others.

Hollywood and Vine (worst buffet on property)

San Angel Inn (Mexico - Epcot) (crowded, loud, poor service, not great food).

ABC Commissary - everything tasted like pickles...UGH
Mama Melrose - not terrible but wouldn't do it again
Sunshine Seasons - my sandwich was HORRIBLE, poor selections
Cantina de San Angel - just yucky

Probably Boma, although we didn't dislike it, it was a pain to get to, and we did feel the food was overrated.

Narcoosee's!!! I still cannot believe we wasted 2 DDP credits on that one. The service was not good and the "ever-popular" surf & turf was just plain...well, that's it, it was PLAIN! It was bland and not worth the trip..... We have had MUCH better steak at LeCellier and Rose & Crown.

Ohana-
never never again
the food was practically hurled at us, and the CM gave us her personal life story- the bad parts. really bad parts. no, we never asked for it. she qualified for dr. phil. ( i really do not need a strangers life story at my meal on vacation)
I did not thrill for the food, and the atmosphere is fine for some, but not for me.

(just my opinion)

1. Boma -- yuck!!
2. ABC Commissary (can't believe they're still in business!)
3. Tony's

Brown Derby - raw chicken and very poor rude server!

Restaurant Marakeesh - Morocco Epcot - Rude manager -poor handling of a problem that was not our fault. So so food, too loud of music and dancer was on the floor for a very short time

San Angel Inn and CRT. Both over priced and just terrible...although the atmosphere in both was nice.

Wow, great thread! Some of these places are on my list, like Crystal Palace, but that is for my girls with the princesses. Luckily I'm not the picky one in my family, my dh is, so shh! no one tell him it's not very good!

I'm really surprised at some of the names here - esp. California Grill and Le Cellier.

I just got back from 10 days at WDW and went to both restaurants.
I had no wait for either of them and the service was excellent. My feeling is, if you go in high season and are on the DDP the waits will be longer and that is definitely not conducive to a good mood.

The only thing that wasn't excellent at CG was the Honey Crunch Cake ( too sweet for me) and the Apple Jalousie Tart (one of three desserts in the "Caramel Apple") because the crust was too hard and doughy.

The other surprise for me is seeing Kona Cafe mentioned because it was probably my favorite meal overall. Every course was delicious - from the Kona Salad to the Tuna Oscar and the Caramel Creme Brulee. I'd go back tomorrow!

Boma was a bit of a letdown because I had such high expectations. Nevertheless, the salad selection was good. The only dessert I liked was the Cocomisu.

I probably wouldn't go back to Whispering Canyon. The "refill" BBQ Ribs I was given were horrendous - burned, and full of odd stringy tendons. (The first set was just okay). The "coleslaw" seemed like mayo with a few pieces of cabbage in it.

I am surprised too at some of the places posted as bad. This just shows that it all subject to opinion. For us, we LOVE BOMA and try to go there on every trip!

1. Planet Hollywood- Rude service, worse food, obnoxious setting, HUGE prices! We are yet to get them to accept any voucher or coupon that we presented. Always a reason why you can't use it, being a full moon, low-tide, third Thurs. of the month, etc:confused: ..... DH says never again!

2. San Angel- Looked great inside, and food was ok, but snotty server (DH & I split a lunch b/c we had 2 TS ADR's that day). The guy was actually irritated.

:sad2:

DW and I were talking about this as our vacation drew to a close almost exactly a month ago!

We've been to a lot of the restaurants on site, and we've had varying experiences, but there aren't any that we could say that we will never return to.

There are those we'll do every time, and there are those we'll probably skip for a few years, but there aren't any that we'll never try again.

Never is a long time, after all. :)
