Opposite of the must do's each trip- which restaurants @ WDW would you not return to?

Really easy-Tony's The food was horrible, service was pretty bad too. Also ABC Commissary and Mama Melrose both at MGM.

California Grill - hands down the worst meal ever endured. We waited over 1 1/2 hours to sit, staff was just plain rude during this whole time, finally sat and the meal was unmemorable (except that it took forever to come) I have pictures where we drew all over the butcher paper of our table to keep my 4 y.o. busy...we had ADR for 6PM IIRC, and we did not leave until 10:30

LTT, a close second..I can never understand why so many like it - the food was processed over-cooked goop.

Jiko for sure!! I heard such wonderful things about this place and was so sad because I couldn't get an ADR.... DH and I decided one night we would cancel our Yachtsman Steakhouse reservation and try to see if there was an opening Jiko that night. Luckily, there was!!! After our meal however, we were extremely disappointed!! The only thing we had that we enjoyed was my filet with mac&cheese. The appetizers, DH's entree, and our desserts were terrible!! We will not be returning there!

Tony's - bad food, really slow service
Crystal Palace - highly overrated
1900 Park Fare - bad service, filthy tables & silverware

We love Crystal Palace for breakfast, but thought the lunch was terrible.

Will never go back for lunch/dinner.

Big River Grille & Brewing Works.
Poor service and bland food.

I wouldn't go back to 50s Prime Time or…Le Cellier! 50s was just really yucky, over-processed, kind of tasteless food. When my hungry kids won't eat fried chicken and mashed potatoes, well, something's very, very wrong. Le Cellier was just a disappointment on so many levels: over an hour wait with an ADR, tables placed elbow to elbow, the WORST service evah (honestly, I can't even call it "service." Wait staff appeared and disappeared never to be seen again all evening. Never the same person twice.), no bread or beverage refills AT ALL after numerous requests, and really average filets, way undercooked. If I told my family we were going there again they would refuse to go. But with so many choices at WDW and a trip only every other year or so, I think we'd be inclined to always try something new anyway.

Sci Fi for sure. Hated sitting behind my wife and son. Food was average. Just not a good time. The atmosphere was ok until I saw the same clips over and over and over agian. That got old real quick.

Would also add Rainforest Cafe.

We aren't picky, but the Maya Grill at CSR was our worst dining experience in the World. The meal took almost 3 hours, though it was not crowded. The waiter forgot our appetizers completely, even though we reminded him. He was inattentive and hard to find. And the meal itself was just OK.

I wouldn't go back to the Sci-Fi dine in, and that's because of an experience all the way back in 1998.

After this trip I'll never go back to ESPN. Food was meh, service was awful, and the server didn't understand the DDP.

There's only 2 places I think of that I wouldn't personally go back to. I've yet to have a stellar meal anywhere in WDW, but most of the places have been decent except for the following two:

I HATE, HATE, HATE San Angel Inn. The food was so gross and bland. I like hot and spicy Mexican not stuff that tastes like it came out of a can.

And when we were at the World in Sept 06 we ate at Flame Tree and I just thought my chicken was greasy and gross without much flavor at all. I was really disappointed as many people say they love this place. I only picked at it and let DH eat it because I didn't like it. YUCK, YUCK, YUCK!

Fulton's - almost empty when we dined so no atmosphere, food just okay
Sci-Fi - food so-so but worth doing once for the experience
Spoodles - done this twice because so many like it, I gave it a second chance. It won't be getting a third!

Liberty Tree Tavern and The Commisary. Both were not the usual disney quality in our opinion.

interesting thread. I probably do more food research than anything else before a trip - cuz the stuff will sit in my stomach for 4 hours, whereas the rides pretty much are done in a few minutes!

I see Boma mentioned a few times, but more as a 'didn't like it' than a 'poor quality' mention. I'll often take the risk on unusual foods but want to avoid low quality.

My only real dissapointment has been the general lack of choices in Animal Kingdom - it is getting better. In the past there were a number of meals we were ready to eat but left with the money still in our pockets,

Hard choice for #1, so I'll list two as #1:

BOATWRIGHT'S (DINNER) AND HOLLYWOOD & VINE (DINNER)

Rainforest Cafe
ABC Commissary
Brown Derby

We won't do CRT dinner ever again.

Everything was just blah to me. Nothing terrible or gross, but nothing had flavor. The prime rib seemed to have no seasoning to it. The root vegetables mash tasted like, well like plain boiled vegetables. The desserts left little to be desired--chocolate cake was okay, nothing special, and the sorbet was exactly what I can buy at the grocery store.

I know you are paying for the atmosphere, but what atmosphere? I really don't like the feeling of this restaurant. Instead of beautiful or elegant, it seemed like a cheesy take on "castle." Not impressive at all.

We would not go back to Liberty Tree Tavern (dinner) again. The character interaction was great and the atmosphere was neat, but the food was very average. It tasted like it came staight from a box in the freezer. This was our first dinner at a TS restaurant our last trip and we had a great time, but it just did not compare to any of our other meals (even the counter service meals were better)

For us it was Akeshus(sp?), we went this past December because we had gone on our honeymoon when it was still a buffet. We had really liked it when it was a buffet, and figured that it couldn't be much different. Well, we were wrong!! We were immensly dissapointed....the food was very bland and minimal choices, but I will say that the appetizer buffet was okay, and the desserts were also okay.

We would not, emphasis on the not, go back to the San Angel Inn. The whole inside was packed with families, and there were 5 waiters in the whole place. The bread was good and so were the drinks, but the main course was a little... *insert word of disgust*. When we ate there, I ordered a Chicken Fajita, but instead of chicken, I got something that looked like a shriveled up piece of fudge. I really enjoy Mexican food and so does my whole family, so it's a shame they have such poor service. :sad2:

-Sneezy :yay:
