We haven't eaten at Crystal Palace in over 5 years and were considering it for dinner on an XMas Party night. All other ADR's are made and we wanted 1 buffet meal during our week. The food wasn't horrible but it wasn't a place we "had" to go back to. Has the food improved?

I like the food there.

Are you going to the party? If not then make sure you book your ADR before the party starts or you won't be able to dine there.

We've enjoyed dinner at Crystal Palace on four different visits--the most recent in December, 2007.

They have a nice variety, and the food seems to be held at the proper temperature. We have varying tastes--I like everything plain and my BFF like to try different things. Her DD and DGD are somewhere between the two of us! *LOL*

Is it the best food we've ever had? No. But we found it was the best buffet at WDW--for us! :)

Just ate there Tuesday evening. As has been said it wasn't the BEST but it certainly wasn't the worst either. We might go back but it definitely isn't a "Have to" meal like Teppan Edo:)

Had it last year-- it was "eh" for me, but I'm not really a buffet type person. Only reason we're going back is for the characters.

As buffets go we enjoy the food at Crystal Palace. IMHO, it is the best TS restaurant at MK so that makes it convenient. Also, it is a beautiful restaurant and the characters are fun.

We went in April and the food was surprisingly good and the kids had a blast.

I really enjoyed there breakfast even tho they got rid of the brekfast lasagna. Love their puffed french toast.

Your description of the food is consistent with my sentiments. It's standard buffet fare -- unmemorable, but certainly not terrible. If you're interested in dining with the characters, Crystal Palace is still a nice option, but I probably won't return until I am traveling with young children.

I have ADR for Crystal Palace 09/26 7:45 p.m. and Wishes Fireworks are schedule for 8:00 p.m., am I going to be able to enjoy the fireworks or I will have to miss it???? what do you guys think?

We thought the food was just okay. The service, on the other hand, was TERRIBLE. (We had a waitress who showed up twice - once to bring drinks and once to bring the check, and still got the automatic $56 gratuity for our large party.) But that was last July. It might have improved. :confused3

You would definitely miss the fireworks with that ADR time. Sorry.

I'm a bit of a food snob, but one who can adjust his expectations based on the venue, and I was surprisingly impressed with dinner at CP a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't the best meal I have eaten in my life but I second the notion that it's the best option in the MK and several of the cold salads were quite tasty. We'll certainly go back anytime we're looking for a dinner in the MK. The character interactions were some of our favorites, and the service was perfectly fine.

The only part of the meal that I found somewhat lackluster was the dessert selection. We're not big dessert eaters, but the super-sweet fruit cobbler, bread pudding and soft-serve ice cream just didn't really do much for us.

Went there for bf and lunch. Everyone seemed to rave about the breakfast there but IDK, I didn't care for it. I thought tusker house was better for BF. We also had a rounchy waiter for BF so perhaps that had something to do with it.

Lunch was great though. And the character interaction was good as well. They didn't seem to care that my then 2 year old was covered in her lunch more or less. I got a ton of pics of my girls with all the characters and the food was really good I thought. I'm pretty picky and liked the selection there. I remember the kids chicken strips being really good, the flank steak was yummy and ohhhhhh how I miss and still dream of the coconut flan they have there. The kids were happy, hubby was happy and I was pleased as well. I can't wait to eat there again, we are planning on lunch or dinner again for our Feb 2011 trip!

I was so excited to try this after all of the reviews...So when we got there for BF I went right to it and IDK, it just didn't do it for me. To me it tasted like a yeasty donut with sugar.

Went twice on each of our last trips and will do so again. I love the lunch and dinner, never been there for breakfast. I think there is a very good variety of cold salads, some a little unusual, the carved meats and salmon are delicious. A great place for lunch because DS4 sure doesn't mind stopping all the fun of MK to eat when the Pooh Characters are part of the meal! Other restaurants would be boring to him....

I always skip this one to be honest. My family loves it I however, am not a fan. I'll oder soup there & a drink & skip the buffet. It's all in what u like. My fav table service @ MK is actually Liberty Tree Tavern. I love every item they serve. Yummy but suupper filling.

We ate dinner there in April and we thought the food was good. Plus, the characters and the atmosphere made it worthwhile to us! :)
