Opinions Requested- Deck Selection on the Wish

Hello- looking for some veteran insights here. We are booked deck 6 forward. Another family member who was previously apprehensive to come has reconsidered and would like to come with. Mobility is an issue so they will be heavily reliant on the elevators. They could probably do the stairs to one deck above or below but not more than that.

If you had the option between 6 forward and 10 forward would the mobility issues steer you to one or the other?

I don’t care where I am, but I really want this to be as convenient as possible for an apprehensive first time cruiser in their 70’s.

Deck 10 is closer to the pools, quick service food, and Marceline Market, deck 6 is closer to the main restaurants and theater. Either one is a good location overall.

I don't really see much difference in this case. Perhaps 10 would be better for access to the pool deck without needing an elevator. Deck 6 gives you non-elevator access to the shop on Deck 5 and a couple of other things.

I’ve stayed on decks 7 and 8 on the Wish class and honestly going from my room to wherever else you want on the ship has always been fine using the elevators. Sometimes I’ve had to wait to get an elevator from a public deck back to the room, more noticeably from decks 3-5 than deck 11.

So really I don’t think it matters much.

I think 10 forward would be more convenient. If you are floor 6 going down, the elevators can be full from the floors above. If you are on deck 10, it is easier to get an elevator going down. I would also recommend Deck 11! So easy to get to pool, pool deck food, buffet, etc.

My only suggestion is to be forward or aft as they're only two sets of elevators. If deciding on Decks 10 or 11 I would also to forward or aft to avoid ambient family pool noise. We love aft.
