Sounds goodto me, except for the day five plans--since AK closes so much earlier than the other parks you may want to reverse your dining plans. Have lunch at Tusker House since AK closes around 5pm (I'm assuming you're going in December since you list the CP Dinner package). Why not have dinner at Whispering Canyon and enjoy visiting the resort decorations in the evening or to MK?

I'm guessing that this would be AK's evening EMH day (going from previous schedules), which is why I had planned dinner there. If they don't have a evening EMH there, then will rethink that day.

Having 2nd thoughts about dinner at the Concourse. Am wondering if I should switch it to the Plaza Restaurant or 1900 instead?

Hello....your plans look good to me  Have you decided on dinner for day 8 yet? I haven't tried Spoodles so no reviews from me on that one. But we did try Chefs de France and I thought it was great ::yes:: I loved the atmosphere the service was great and the food was wonderful. If you find yourself there try to get a table by the window. The view is beautiful.

Have not decided as of yet between Chef's or Spoodles.

I have two comments! Overall, I think the plan looks great. My first comment is day 7 seems like it could be a lot of food. Are you planning on really spacing the timing out? My second comment is about Spoodles. Recently, the chef at Spoodles changed and the menu is a lot shorter than it used to be. I would think about going to Chef's instead. Mind you, I haven't tried Spoodles since the change, but reading the new menu doesn't excite me as much as the old one!

I am leaving on my own solo trip on Saturday and I will be able to give solo impressions for Le Cellier. I will be meeting up with a fellow DISer for LTT too!

Thumper's,
Thanks for your input.

Regarding times, am planning on doing lunch around 11:30am to 12pm and dinner between 6-8:30pm. Day 7 would be lunch @ 11:30am, then dinner around 7pm.

I've been hearing alot of negatives regarding Spoodles lately, especially with their change in menu's. Never been to Chef's before and the menu looks tasty.

I have never been on the DP, so I have no personal experience. That being said, I have heard that it is a lot of food. If you leave enough time between the two meals, I think that Le Cellier and Coral Rief would be a great combo.

I agree on the Spoodles thing. I was all excited to go there this trip, but then I saw that they had changed their menu. It just doesn't seem that interesting anymore! Chef's on the other hand - mucho yummy!

Good luck!

Your plans look great! I'm impressed you have it planned out already.

We tried Spoodles and didn't care for it. The food was okay but nothing really good or unique and prices seemed high to not include a salad or anything with the entree (not that this would matter on the dining plan).

I think I would re-consider Rose & Crown for the Candlelight Pkg. We ate there in December (not on the pkg, though) and the food had taken a turn for the worse :( I mean, we expeced the normal "heavy" type British foods, but the Fish was greasy, not crispy, and not particularly hot...in fact...most of the food was not very hot. If there is another restaurant in World Showcase you like, I think I'd do the Candlelight Pkg there.

Day 8:
Lunch: Columbia Harbour House
Dinner: Either Chef's de France or Spoodles (Can't decide)

Your plan sounds great! I say for Day 8 go with Chef's de France!

Thanks everyone for your input!

The last time I dined at Spoodles was in 2003 and it seemed like both the menu and the way they made things had changed. Had the pasta with sausage and found the sauce to be orange versus a red marinara sauce. Also, was seated next to a table of women with 2-4 year olds who were screaming, crawling under the tables, throwing food, running around the restaurant, while they just sipped their coffee's and chatted (like the kids were not even there)! So between the food and that, it turned me off slightly to Spoodles.

Chef's on the other hand - mucho yummy!

Looking forward to trying Chef's.

Les Chefs de France: Les Chefs de France is now my absolute favorite restaurant. We had dinner there in January and the food was amazing. Our server, Maximilian, was so friendly and very attentive. My mom and I both had salad with a vinaigrette which was so delicious.
We also had the French Onion soup. The soup was sooooo good. I was so tempted to go into the kitchen and steal the whole pot of soup! (kidding of course :) )
We can't wait to eat there again in February. :sunny:

Boulangerie Patisserie: The bakery is SO good. My favorite pastry is the Nid d’Abeilles. It's filled with a cream that has rum in it although you can't taste the rum. I always get more than one of these a day. :)

Everything else looks great!
