We are going to DL for our first time this September for four days. It will be Wednesday - Saturday, and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to which days are best for which parks. I'm especially concerned with the Saturday. And advice would be appreciated. Thank!!

We are staying offsite at the Hyatt Place. The tickets I purchased do include one Magic Morning at Disneyland. I should add that we are going to the Halloween party on Thursday night, so we probably won't want to use our Morning Magic that day, and that leaves us with Saturday to use that. But we do have park hoppers, so if DCA is usually slower on Sat. than DL we could always switch parks as DL gets busy.

With park hoppers it’s kuch less of an issue to decide ahead where start your day. I would just start in the park without early entry (except Saturday when you will use your magic morning) and then go from there.

Gotcha! But is there a "rule" as to which park is busiest on Fri. and Sats.?

I just realized that the Magic Morning on Sat. corresponds with Extra Magic Hour for Resort guests. Does that mean it might be just too busy to bother with?

Not at all, I would definitely take advantage of your Magic Morning. And really, I feel like there is no trick to avoiding crowds at either park- the parks being so close together means you can easily hop between them which means crowd levels can be about the same. But I wouldn’t pass up your Magic Morning! Such a good chance to get the Fantasyland/Tomorrowland rides done.

Excellent - thank you!

I agree with not passing up your Magic Morning, although i think it's worth reconsidering going Thursday morning instead of Saturday. I think the Saturday AP rope drop crowd would put a lot more ppl in DL than a Thursday morning in September. I feel like your first hour after Magic Morning would still be really light on Thursday and you should be able to hit the other popular rides that weren't open during Magic Morning like Indy, Nemo, Big Thunder etc. Side note: definately get Max Pass.

Maybe consider Magic Morning on Thursday, back to the hotel in the afternoon for some rest/pool time, then come back for the Halloween Party. The Hyatt Place is right at the corner at Katella and S Harbor and is a 12-15 minute walk to the gate at most. I've done it in 10 at a spirited pace with a double stroller. The Hyatt Place is a great hotel. It's new, clean, has free breakfast and a Walgreens right in the lobby. Rooms are big and beds were super comfy. I think you will enjoy it.

Thank you - we will definitely consider using our Morning Magic on Thursday. And yes, we do have MaxPass - now I just have to study-up on how best to use it!

I think you might be confusing the hotel though - I do it ALL the time! The Hyatt House is on the corner, the Hyatt Place is just down the street a little. I think I read where someone said it added about one minute to the walk. I don't know which has the Walgreen's though, but I'm guessing the Hyatt House - it's WAY more expensive than the Hyatt Place! Hoping the beds are just as comfy in both!! :-)

Ah yes. my mistake. The Hyatt place is just a little further down. The walgreens is right at the corner of Katella and S Harbor. i've had good experiences with all Hyatt properties so i'm sure your stay will be just as nice.
