Opinions please: Mr. Sancho's, Paradise, or Playa Sol Beach?

Boy, these boards are great!

We're trying to figure out which of these beaches will be best for us. We're looking for a clean beach, beach chairs, and simple food & drink.

In checking out websites, some of the beaches look like they're full of seaweed. Living near the Jersey shore, I've seen plenty of THAT :scared:.

Any suggestions, opinions, advice?

Thanks!!

We did Playa in Oct '03. We did it as a DC excursion. It was really nice. It is something you can on our own too. The beach was clean, the water was clear. The bathrooms were clean. The food was good. The pool was the girls favorite part!!

My parents are going to Paradise Beach at the end of the month. They are going to compare the two for me so when we cruise in April, I'll know where I want to go :)

We're going to try this one, nice beach and club and there is a pool too which is great for my kids!!

Cozumel Beach Break it looks like a great deal for drinks and food too! :cheer2:

We did the Playa Beach Break in April. We enjoyed it. No seaweed. Service was good. Food was ok. The Disney group has a roped off area and workers did chase others. Only Disney wrist bands allowed in our area of beach. Plenty of chairs, umbrellas and floats, all included. Workers were very nice. Bus trip gave us a chance to see a little more of the island.

We did Playa Sol on our own while cruising on a different line. We liked it, and thought it was clean. If it's the same place, there was food and drink, hammocks, and massages, as well as personal watercraft available for rent. They had lounge chairs and the water was very clear.

We did Mr. Sancho's as a result of a recommendation from many cruisers on this board before our western. It was fantastic. The beach and water are beautiful. The restaurant/food is wonderful. You can eat in the open area restaurant..or down on the beach under the umbrellas. There are plenty of tables/chairs. Large hot tub to enjoy. The restrooms/shower areas are very clean. There are a few shops with local crafts people selling some very nice items. The bar is adorable..swings for seats. We had a blast..hubby said he could spend days..right there..lol.

You can also rent ATV's and horses for riding.

Also..it was easy...to grab the cab there, and then again on the way back to the ship.

We did Playa Sol in October 2003 and had a blast. We did it through Disney and there was a great roped off area. The beach was clean, no seaweed and the sand was clean too. The food wasn't bad, not top-notch, but not bad at all. My DH & DD (2 at the time) loved the pool. I would definitely do it again!

In January 04 we went to Paradise beach. It was a very clean beach, the bathrooms right off the beach were sandless! They had someone sweeping constantly to keep the sand out. The "charge" to use the beach was to purchase a food or drink item, we got 4 sodas. They had umbrellas, chairs, an "iceberg" to climb and water trampoline. They had some kayaks that my kids took out. We had a wonderful time. The place was very clean and everyone was really nice. We didn't try any food so I can't say about that.

But when we go back, we plan on going back to paradise.
Enjoy your trip!
Tammy

Has anyone done both the beaches and Chankanaab??

If you could only spend the day at one of these two places, which would it be?

The plan was to go to Chank, but after reading the description of Mr. Sanchos, we may be changing our minds!

:boat:

We did Mr. Sanchos this past October. Our cab driver told us that we made a wise decision. Not as crowded plus it more of an adult beach than a family beach he said. We were NOT disappointed.
