My DS(5) and I are going to DW Dec4th to 9th. I booked this trip just last week so to be honest I a pretty pleased with what I was able to reserve. I am still trying to tweak it and keep calling to see if anyone has cancelled an ADR. Here is what I have planned so far. If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them.
Day 1 Dec 4th
We are staying at CSR we will arrive to the hotel about 8:30pm.
We plan to settle in. Weather permitting play in the pool at night. I know Dec is cool but so far this has not stopped my DS from wanting to go in the pool. We went this time of yr last Dec also. At this point all of the parks are closed at 7pm so hanging out at the pool is our only option.
I do not recall the parks closing at 7pm last Dec though. So maybe the park times have not been released yet.
Day 2 Dec 5th
Epcot in the morning. We plan to do test track, nemo, soaring (hopefully), the build a robot game. What else is there for 5 yr olds?
12:30 Garden Grill for lunch
we may go back to the hotel to swim and then head to Magic Kingdom. If cool skip the pool and after lunch head to Magic Kingdom until it closes.
Day 3 Dec 6th
Animal Kingdom
5pm ADR to eat at Maya Grill at the hotel.
Then the VMCP at Magic Kingdom. I am keep checking for a cancellation at Liberty Tree for this night or Chef Mickey.
Day 4 Dec 7th
MGM - this is going to be new to me. DS is now into Power Rangers. So I am open to suggestions on how to plan our day at MGM.
6:10 ADR for Brown Derby
After dinner we will see the Osborn lights. Maybe try to catch the Fantasmic Show. My son is somewhat scare still of fire works so I am not sure the show is a good idea. I hear it can be scary for kids. So after the Osborn lights we may just go back to the hotel and go in the pool or walk around the hotel.
Day 5 Dec 8th
Magic Kingdom. I know MK on a sat is the busiest day but I figure if we get there at gate drop we can just make the best of it.
5:40 ADR for Whispering Canons. By the time we are done according to the current Dec schedule the parks will be closed. So back to the hotel for more pool time.
Day 6 Dec 9th Sunday. I let my son choose what park we go to. We always catch a late flight on Sunday. We have to be back to the hotel by 5:30 to catch the ME. I may try to get Chef Mickey ADRS.
What do you think any suggestions or changes? TIA!
