Just wanting to hear others opinions.

We were planning on doing EMH at MK on 7 July. Now I see EMM is offered on 9 July which was our DHS day. Do I stick with what we had or swap them around and purchase EMM?

I think it depends. From what I've read, a lot of people have found EMM to be worth it for them. For me personally, it just isn't something I'm interested in. I pay to stay on-site for the privilege of EMH, so that's what I utilize. But ultimately, it's up to you.

Context: We do EMH regularly (swear by them), have done EMM twice, and will be doing it again this Aug.

If it has to be one OR the other, I'd probably stick with EMH, UNLESS you are all very keen on riding 7DMT, Peter Pan, and/or Pooh many times -- and also want to enjoy the breakfast buffet.

We really like EMM, but can get a good deal done during EMH at MK as well... One 7DMT, then move on to other headliners.

Really depends what you're looking for. Now, if you had a long enough trip and could fit in BOTH an EMH MK and an EMM MK, I would TOTALLY do both! :)

Well..
If you'd care to have the park basically to yourself from 7:45 to 9:15, and go on the open rides by yourself, and take pictures in an empty park, and then have a pretty awesome leisurely breakfast to recharge, and then schedule your three fastpasses after your breakfast, then, do the emm.

If you have hoppers, and planned to leave mk after the emh induced logjam on the emh day, I'd say that would make my decision a little easier.
Please note also, that on the am emh day at mk, conventional wisdom says that hs will be less crowded. So if you don't have hoppers, that might sway you to skip emh.

My opinion?
1. If I had hoppers, I'd do BOTH.
2. If I didn't have hoppers, I'd do EMM, and hs on the emh day.

Thanks everyone. You've given us something to think about. We have 10 day PArk Hopper Tickets with WPF+more. So we have the time and the flexibility.

We have scheduled 2 MK days - 3 & 7 July. Both days the plan was to stay in the park until early afternoon and then on 3July head back for BOG dinner and fireworks. 7th is just dinner at Trails End. We did have the Plaza booked on 3 July at 11am.

It will be 5 years since we last visited, and coming from overseas, we want to get in as much as we can.

For our 10-day Aug trip, we are doing MK EMM one morning, EMH one morning, and a PPO ADR morning. If you have the time, I'd really do BOTH EMH and EMM.

Personally, if I had 10 day hopper tickets I wouldn't pay for EMM. You only get access to 3 rides, and IMO, they aren't a great value. I know A LOT of people disagree, but I don't think 7DMT is that great (please don't kick me out!). It's a mild thrill ride and we do it once with a FP. We don't love Peter Pan so sometimes we skip it althogether. And Pooh isn't tough to get on, even without a FP. Although, I don't travel in summer, we usually go in October or January.

With 10 park days, I'd be more inclined to strategically plan around EMH and FP. Then maybe reserve a PPO character breakfast for a day without EMH or a day with late EMH when you might want to be able to go early, rest for a few hours, then go back to close out a park.
Tusker House at AK is my fave for food and characters and you can book it back to EE and ride several times before there's a line.

I agree with shellyj about 7d here, but I'll add:
considering the rides open for emm, is pretty big. I also don't think 7dmt is really all that, but the theming and the photo/video that comes with it, make it really fun. As a roller coaster by itself...meh.

Now, with the other rides, if you like those, then add that into the equation.

Also, factor in the pictures you can get. You will not see very many ppl once you get in. You can take some really great photos, if you'd like. Be prepared with the photos, though. That is VERY precious time.

Another thing: the breakfast is not garbage, they put out a very nice spread.

If the rides, pictures, breakfast are things you'd like, the cost is a no-brainer, imo. You also have a major head start on the rest of the crowd for the day. You should be able to slip in a decent 2 to 3 attractions after rope drop, and head to breakfast to relax, gorge, and recharge. Then you have 3 fp to burn, and a leisurely tour for the rest of however long you'd care to stay.

We did EMM in January. 7DMT broke down after our first ride, but we rode PP and Pooh a couple times. We ended up with a FP+ for 7DMT until noon (unlimited) but that got old after a while. The breakfast was good. I don't think we'd do it again for the current price.

Be clear there are only 3 rides plus maybe carousel open IF nothing breaks down. We went and 7DMT (whole purpose in us booking) was down. Disappointing and surely did not get our monies worth. I would rather do EMH.

Just another thought - we are also going to be in WDW the first week of July, and I'm still counting on the park hours and EMH schedule changing before then, just because it seems like March hours were still being changed a month or so ago.
