DH and I may be interested in this in Summer 2017. Are there too many sea days? Not enough to do? All opinions welcome!

Love transAtlantic cruises (fixing to do our second). Certainly plenty to do. And remember, a vacation is to relax, not to "be doing something all the time". Take some time to just sit on deck 4 and read a book, watch the ocean go by, nap.

We just booked our 3rd transatlantic, but our first eastbound. We love them. There are plenty of things to do on the ship on sea days and depending on the cruise meet group, there is even more to do that is arranged by the group. We find them to be the price performer.

We were on the Eastbound 2015 TA. It was a lot of fun even with the last minute port changes due to ice conditions. My biggest issue with booking another is just timing and the long stretch necessary for my tween and young teen daughters to be able to come. Homeschooled kids have a real advantage. My young adult daughter probably will not repeat.

I don't really do downtime. I love the longer cruises with a lot of sea days (like the transatlantic) because of all the scheduled ship activities offered. I'm booked for this year's EBTA and WBTA, as well as next year's EBTA. I'll be the gal darting from activity to activity all day and night. :)

Best cruise of the year! Big group that sails every year with lots of activities. The only down side is 2 weeks is not long enough!

Wow...lots of fans here. This will be (positive thinking) our 5th cruise but first transatlantic. Yes, I guess it would make sense that they'd have more onboard activities planned. Never thought of that. :-) Does that translate into having to pay more for onboard activities, too or are there lots of "free" things to do?

You can pay (not a lot) for some group activities and there are lots of free onboard things to do. Depends how active your meet and greet group is. We did open bar event for $15, chocolate and alcohol tasting (20?), champagne girls (10?) skipped the pub crawl. We also do FE groups (adult only).

We almost did this for our honeymoon, but weren't sure. We haven't even sailed yet and I want to book another. Maybe for our anniversary.

I was referring to the cruise-organized activities that would be published in the navigator. Alcohol tastings and some spa programs would have a charge, but things like cooking demos, trivia, guest lecturers and such would have no charge.

We also enjoyed our 2013 EBTA DCL cruise. DH did have some trouble adjusting to the 23 hour day, but he was fine by the time we arrived in Barcelona. We have a Princess WBTA booked in fall, 2017, and I was so surprised when DH had the idea that we should do DCL's EBTA in May 2017! Yes, we are doing both ways next year!

I am the type of person who can't sit still for more than about 20 minutes without being bored. I have been on 5 Transatlantics and looking at one in 2017 too. There are so many things to do I still haven't managed to do half of what I want to do. Have a look at the activities on previous cruises on the navigators on http://www.disneycruiselineblog.com.
