saw ad for holiday inn suites and would like to know if anyone has stayed there and what they thought , is it clean, how are the kids suites, how far from disney, thanks for opinions

I agree. If it was for Holiday Inn Family Suites, lots of people on this board have stayed there (including me), and there is a lot of info. to be found here. If you do a search (try HIFS, that's what we usually call it), you'll find enough details to make your head spin! There are a couple of other Holiday Inn Suites, though, so not sure if this is the one you saw. You can find information on just about all of them here if you do a search. I will say that HIFS is by far the favorite on this board!

mrs mud , yes that is the holiday inn suites i was refering to did you like it, was it clean etc, and how to the world thanks

Ohiodad:
We stayed there in early Dec. '01. We really loved the hotel, but unfortunately didn't get to spend that much time there, as we tried to get the most out of our 4 day park hoppers ;) . They have a great pool (well, two pools but we weren't near the lap pool). We only used the pool twice, and to be honest, my girls probably would have been happy to stay there and forget about the parks!
There are activities for the kids every night but we only caught the face painting one night. There is also bingo, karaoke, I think a magic show... Anyway, we liked it so much there that we are staying there again in Oct., even though we are spending most of our time at the Universal parks. We will try to schedule more "down time" this time around.
The location is great! It's very close to Epcot, DTD and MGM, a little further to AK and MK, but no more than 15 minutes to any of the parking lots.
Yes, it is very clean and well kept. The suites are terrific if you have a large family. We were 3 adults and 2 kids and had plenty of room. It was so nice to have 3 separate sleeping areas! Also the girls absolutely LOVED their room with the Disney theme.
Any other questions, feel free to ask!

WE just stayed there at the beginning of April. The rooms were great. We also loved the hot continential breakfast. If you have an entertainment book ask for the entertainment rate. We paid $99 per night- not bad considering the free breakfast.

How is the shuttle to the parks compared to Disney transportation?

We didn't use the transportation so I can't tell you. But I have heard mixed reviews from others on this board.
