For those of you that have used a cat 9, does anyone have any pics of the room? Are there any cat 9 rooms to avoid or even better, ones to request?

Thank you all and have a great day!

We have always stayed in Cat 9 cabins and prefer getting a cabin by the aft (rear) elevators. Those elevators don't seem to be used as much and Parrot Cay and Animator's Palate are by the aft stairs. It's much quicker to go the 1-2 flights of stairs for dinner than to wait for elevators.

By the way, I'm also a twin mom, 6 year old boy/girl twins.

Hi Momoftwins

We stayed in Cat. 9 #2570 on the Wonder. Sorry, I don't have any pix, but the cabin was great. Midship, close to midship elevators and stairs & peope traffic didn't seem to be a problem.
It was quiet. We had friends stay further aft on the same deck. They complained of a lot of noise during the night from below, and one night from above. I think they were in 2600 or very close to it.

Hope this helps!!

I've stayed in 2518 and found it to be convenient to the nightclubs, the Walt Disney Theater, and it was quiet.

Anyone ever stayed in 2098 that could comment on the room noise?

I just booked the 12/17/2005 Magic and have been assigned Cat 9 2576 so any comments, good or bad on this location/cabin, is much appreciated.

I see several of you have references to twins - I have a set myself. 2 boys, both 25 - lots of fun raising them but am also glad they are grown :-). My 10 year old has been more work but I suspect it's something to do with me being older, less energetic, and less naive :-)

We are just back from the Wonder and our cabin was 2608. Our first cruise we were upgraded to a Cat 5 verandah and since we weren't this time I wondered if we'd be disapointed. We weren't! Our cabin host was wonderful and our cabin which isn't far from yours was very quiet. Our verandah room was much noiser! I think you'll enjoy your room!

Room 2616 (Cat. 9) was very loud in the middle of the night. I believe we were under the galley. It sounded like there was a lot of equipment being used. We were moved to a new room the next night due to lack of sleep.

We have also stayed in Room 2036 (Cat. 9, aft) on a 7-nighter and enjoyed it very much. The only noise I heard was a few chairs being moved around in the morning very briefly. I think we were under the entrance of Parrot Cay.

We stayed in room 2588 on the Magic last week and it was quiet.

TiggerKing,

I did not stay in 2098 but on the Wonder, it is right by the laundry room which at times can get VERY noisy. People tend to linger in the hallway and when I sailed, they didn't seem to have much consideration for the rooms in close proximity. A lot of talking and traffic at all hours of the morning and night. I guess each cruise is different, but that's how it was when I sailed. Hope that helps.

We were in 2014 near the front (Cat 9). The room was awesome. No noise at all, the only noise we heard was when we were docking in CC. We liked the room so much we requested it and got it for our 4 night cruise next June.

Thank You about the comment on room 2014. We have that room and 2016 booked for our cruise. Hoping it was a good location.

We stayed in room 2504 on the Magic and loved it!! It is in the front of the ship and a bigger room. It is longer by about 4-5 feet. The extra space is nice! The window tilts out because it is in the bow of the ship. My kids loved sitting in it and "hanging" out over the ocean. It is listed as a noisy room, but it was very quiet. There aren't any rooms on the other side of the hallway, so there isn't much traffic noise. I can't wait to book this one again on another cruise! :sunny:

One more bump before I make my ressies. Thank you all for your responses. It is greatly appreciated.

Have a wonderful day!

We were in Cabin # 2024 and Cabin # 2026 for January 2003 and 2004. Both cabins are at the lobby of the forward elevators therefore very quick up to the adults pool! also right across the hall from our cabin there was a little "space" to park our stroller so we never had to take into our cabin. It was awesome. Highly recommend it especially if you have a stroller.
Have a great cruise! :p :Pinkbounc

Anyone ever stay in 2118, 2120, 2126 or 2128? We'll be sailin' in late November and have these cabins. I like that they're in the aft and close to the elevators.

Thanks!

2546 was an excellent cabin....no noise at all. We actually had several rooms adjacent on either side of this as well (large group of friends) and everyone loved the location.
