Opinions on storybook lunch in Epcot?

hi all,

We have happily eaten in Akershus many times pre-princess meal days. In May, we will be joined for part of our trip to WDW by my good friend and her 6 year old daughter who loves princesses. It is thier first trip to WDW and I want to make it special for them. I know I am too late for Cindy's ADRs, but I wondered if I should try to get a princess storybook ADR (hoping it is not as hard to get into). We have been to many character meals but know nothing about princess ones as we have two little boys. Would you recommend this? If not, can we try something at GF? (not sure -- heard there is a princess thing there as well).

I can only speak for character interaction, because we did breakfast instead of lunch, but it was really nice. The princesses were plentiful and chatted with dd, did autographs and pictures. We didn't have to wait too long either.

1900 has a dinner with Cinderella, Prince Charming and the mice. That is a good alternative and the boys would probably like that as well with Prince there to chat with. Excellent food!

We did the lunch on our last trip and loved it. Our food was really good (I had the peppery pasta which I liked a lot, DD had some standard kids meal), our server was the best we've had at WDW, and the Princesses were really excellent with the kids.

I have heard a lot of people complaining about the food, so I'd suggest heading over to allearsnet.com for a menu check to see if you'll be happy eating there.

Ok, we booked the princess storybook lunch, May 11. I'm just hoping for some magical princess interaction!

Now, do I tell my friend to bring a princess dress for her daughter, and if she does, does she wear it all morning as well? (maybe I need to ask at the families board!)
