Opinions on our dining plans, please?

Here are the places we've made PS for and a few counter service places we'd like to try. Please let me know what you think and if you have any pics or suggestions of food there.

Friday
Lunch- Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen
Dinner- Blue Bayou
dessert- Mickey Premiums!!!

Saturday
Breakfast- PCH Lilo & Stitich Breakfast
Lunch- Corn Dog Castle
snack- Catch a Flave ice cream
Dinner- Pacific Wharf Cafe (or if we can fit it in the buget, Wine Country Trattoria)

Sunday
Breakfast- Storyteller's Cafe
Lunch- Strips, Dips, and Chips
Dinner- Tortilla Jo's

Monday (my birthday)
Breakfast- Carnation Cafe
Lunch- Cafe Orleans
snack- Dole Whips!!!
Dinner- Goofy's Kitchen

Tuesday
Breakfast- Coffee House at DLH
Lunch & Dinner- airport food!

You may want to consider the Blue Bayou for Lunch instead of Dinner. That is, if you want the famous Monte Cristo (they only serve it at lunch).

It seems a little over planned to me. I probably wouldnt choose more then one place a day in advance. You have most of Saturday and Sunday planned around DCA, not much in DL either day. We usually try to pick a place near where we are at when its time to eat.

Oh, and I'm not sure that dips and strips is open. Seems like I heard it closed for the building of the new ride, but dont take my work for that. It could have just been a temp. closure.

Well, I told my DH that the counter service places are flexible. But these are the table services I wanted to eat at.

Even if the Strips, Dips, 'n Chips isn't open, it's okay. We might try Taste Pilot. Who knows?

Not much really caught my attention at DL. I have Blue Bayou, Carnation Cafe, and Cafe Orleans. But we will only be there Friday afternoon/evening and all day Monday.

You might want to keep the idea of park hopping open as an option. Two full days in DCA is probably a bit more then you'll need, and you'll miss a lot of DL only being there 1 1/2 days. I would plan on spending some mornings or evenings in DL on the DCA days. There are so many great shows and things to see in DL.

Are so focused, on your dining plans.I am going solo April 19-21, my hubster cannot join me. and I have yet to get any other plans for lunch or dinner, other than BB, & Cafe Orleans. But because of you and your great plans. I will start to scour allearsnet. For another dinner choice. I feel I am behind time. I have yet to pack, and usually I am packed a month out.

The menu from Strips, Dips, and Chips is now being served at the Farmer's Market, which is near It's Tough to Be a Bug. So yes, Strips is closed, but you can still get the same food at the new location.

This is actually more relaxed since our Mother's Day plans are kinda in the air. We are thinking of skipping DCA and going to the ocean after breakfast. Hubby is DYING to see the Pacific Ocean. It's all he can talk about.

Sounds great to me. I am a super big planner when it comes to meals and such as well, so I understand! Yes, the Chip, Strip & Dip place is closed, but I wouldn't want to eat that and then Mexican Food for dinner anyway. Too heavy. Cafe Orleans is our favorite, I would probably eat there twice, but that is just me! Are you going over Mother's Day? We are eating at Lilo & Stitch May 13 for brunch. If you are going that weekend, remember the F&W Events will be at DCA. We love all the offerings Have a great trip.

PS...And yes, go to the ocean for a few hours, it is very relaxing.

Just a suggestion: For your last day, Tuesday, try having beignets and cafe au lait at Ralph Brennan's Express Kitchen. That's what we usually have for breakfast whenever we're staying on-site.

I think part of that is WDW requires a lot more planning further out from the trip than does DLR especially regarding dining. And at WDW, because you can't simply walk the entire complex, you have to plan dining around your days or your days around your dining much more there than at DLR. By the way your meal plans look delicious.

Just a suggestion: For your last day, Tuesday, try having beignets and cafe au lait at Ralph Brennan's Express Kitchen. That's what we usually have for breakfast whenever we're staying on-site.

We are having the Lilo and Stitch breakfast on the 12th. The 13th we'll do the Storyteller's Cafe. I just hope it's not too crowded because of Mother's Day.

Part of F&W is a "Marketplace" where they serve tapas-sized selections of various foods - last year they had some very tasty things, though maybe on the expensive side. And most of the food demonstrations served samples, and those were free!
