Hi, All! We currently have an Adr for Teppan Edu but I'm just not sure about keeping it. I am considering switching it to H&V or maybe even Cape May. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

we have had a few dinners at H & V and not bad for buffet dinners....you will find that there is a love hate relationship with many posters on this one...we did it because we were with a group of people that were fussy, kids, weight watchers, and vegetarian, and old...so just listen to your head and go and look at the food they serve...

I am one of those people who doesn't love H&V but I have had a couple of lovely experiences at Cape May! Never eaten at Teppan Edu personally! I would just choose whichever one you like the menu for! :)

Thanks for your responses!! My family keeps leaving the eating decisions up to me. I don't know why this one is giving me such fits.

H & V also you can do the fantasmic pkg...costs the same but you get special seating at the nighttime show...are you on Dining plan? if you are...Mama Melrose is a great choice for the pkg too...we were six of us and three had steak, two kids had good meals and daughter in law had a seafood linguini...all delicious..entree, dinner and desserts and also cold drinks or coffee

I have done dinner at Hollywood and Vine twice. It was horrible both times. I'm not fussy and we have eaten at all the character dinners several times now. This is the only one I give a bad review to. I did it when the kids were little but wouldn't touch it now the characters have no appeal to them. Teppan Edo has been consistently good for us, we have eaten dinner there four times. I have only done the Cape May breakfast, but that was excellent. My issues at H and V were poor service (slow, no drinks refills both times), kids with their hands in the food trays unsupervised (not the restaurants fault of course but observed both times), raw beef (still saying moo, once), empty food trays for the whole meal (both times), a kid crawling under our table over and over again (also not the restaurants fault), soggy salads and generally just not so good food quality or selection as other buffet choices. But no doubt others have had better experiences there! For me, I'd stick with Teppan Edo unless you have small children who are really into the H and V characters. I will say they give a good show from a character interaction perspective. My DD loves that part when she was 5 and 6.

Thanks, Pumba for the suggestion. We'll look at that menu. Thanks also to scoobydooby! I like an honest opinion. My kids are older- the youngest is 14- so no one is really into characters anymore. We still like Crystal Palace, though.

We actually LOVE H & V. The shrimp and lobster mac & cheese is great. There's always a nice variety of food. My husband lives it and my kids do too! I'm not really sure why there's so much hate, but I thought it was better than CP and 1900 Park Fare for dinner.

I have H&V booked for the character only for my 4 year old, otherwise I'd steer clear of buffets...but that mac n cheese sure sounds good!,,
