I would like to buy one and this is what I'm looking for. I am an occasional reader, but I would like to have one for my magazines....tired of getting them and stacking up.

If you are looking for a eReader for magazines. I would look a ipads for the color screens. Apple just marked down the ipad 1 to as low as $349. Here are some links.

I have an ipad. While it is more than just an ereader I like it as an ereader because I have several options for getting my books and magazines -

- kinle app: books and mags from amazon
-nook app:books and mags from b&N
-overdrive app:library books
-zinnio - mags
-many magazines and newspaper have there own apps to like the New York Times and Shape Magazine

I just bought a Color Nook this week. There was a great deal on the 3G/WiFi version and I took the bait.

I picked it over a Kindle because it accepts many more formats than just Amazon. I can download epub format from my public library. I also downloaded something in pdf (for free) that I've been wanting to read. I haven't tried reading a magazine yet, but I'm looking forward to when my subscriptions run out so I can switch over to electronic versions.

If I can find free WiFi, I can surf the internet (woohoo!) It functions like an Ipad. It has other things on it (games, Pandora, Contacts, etc.)

I don't like the Nook because it's touchscreen, but I'm sure I will get used to it.

I would also want color for magazines. If you just want an ereader...the Color Nook! Ipads are pricier but do a lot more.

I agree - for magazine reading the eInk greyscale just isn't all that great.

I just bought a nook Color this week w/ the $50 off coupon on EBAY but it is still charging so I haven't tried it out yet. I think that deal is over though. But it or a cheaper Android tablet with Apps for the various stores would probably be your best bet.

If you want music/games/internet and all that then the iPAD would be good, just much more expensive.
