Just talked DH into another trip in October w/ the kids :Pinkbounc Just the 2 of us went in Feb...wow that was soooooo long ago :teeth:

We have 2 boys. 1yr at trip time and 1 who is 4yrs. He's about 40lbs now and tall. I've pretty much set on the Mac's since they have the highest weight limits (not even considering the $400+ stroller so don't bother suggesting the Bill and Ted or whatever it is :goodvibes )

I'm looking to buy from an ebay store and last year models. So it's between the

Rally Twin 2005
26.8lbs
multiple recline
4.5inch wheels
both have the basket and view windows etc.

Twin Traveller 2005
32.4lbs
5 pos recline
6inch wheels w/ suspension
extendable leg rest (not needed)
head huggers and boots (not needed)

So basicall the Rally is a bit lighter but has smaller wheels. Has anyone used one of these at Disney and what did you think.

I don't like the large book fold of the Combi's and they we're too wobbley.

Thanks for any other insight.

it seems like it might be more cost effective to get 2 inexpensive umbrella style strollers for the trip. a twin stroller is a PAIN to travel with and hard to manuver in crowds.

ds rode in the cheapest walmart model ($14.99) at 40plus pounds (and tall enough to ride every wdw ride)-and we just gave it to a parent we saw carrying their little one the last nite we were in the parks.

2 strollers also has the advantage that if one parent has to take off with one child back to the resort there is no issue with who ends up carrying a child.

We have a trip to WDW planned for Sept with my sons who will then be almost 4 years and 18 months. I purchased the Twin Rally. It is great. It's not too light, but manageable. My oldest son is tall and is totally comfortable in it. We have used it at the zoo and it has been very convient to have a seat for the older son if he decides he wants to ride. We didn't want the hassle of 2 strollers which is why we bought a double. Hope this helps.

We travel with a double and a single (we have 3 kids). We have always traveled with a double when we had more than one child. It is much easier than having 2 strollers. Sometimes one of us has to use the bathroom or run into a store or even ride a ride and if we had 2 strollers we would be stuck in one spot. Also- my oldest son is very tall and big for his age. At 2 he was the size of your 4 year old and he would never have been comfortable in a cheap umbrella stroller. The seat just wasn't big enough. That being said I think it is just a matter of what your needs are as to which one you chould pick. I probably would pick the one that had the deepest seats. We have a Mac Quest single and it has small wheels. It works just fine and was great on our last trip but you definetly will have a hard time going over dirt and grass if that's what you do while you are home. I hope this helps and let us know what you picked! I am probably going to be looking for a new double soon! princess:

Thanks...I'll have to check the seat depth. I assumed they would be the same being both Macs but I think I do recall some difference between the single Macs when I bought our single.

I agree with getting the double over 2 singles. We are more likely to have more times where 1 of us has both kids than the rare "what is I need to take 1 back to the hotel" situation. We love the rides and take turns riding while the other shops or does something with the kids.

ok..more research!!

I debated this for a long time - whether to buy a double stroller or two singles. My kids are older than yours, though, so I might have different requirements. What I did was buy a cheap $20 Kolcraft umbrella stroller from Babies 'r' Us and order a nicer Maclaren online (http://www.specialtybaby.com/). What I figure is that I really, really wanted a light stroller because I knew that we would have to be lugging it onto buses for the whole trip. I think we might just bring one stroller to the parks in the morning and then after our afternoon break we will take the two strollers because the kids will be more tired in the afternoon. I did test the Maclaren at BRU to see if both kids could sit in it together, just in case. They were okay like that (with DD on DSs lap) and I was able to push and steer the stroller with no problem.
