Opinions on CSR Food Court, please

CSR - the food court has a wide variety, but charges you an extra 10%, to refill drinks and clean-up if you sit down. There is no 10% charge for take-out.

Also - no DDE discount at CSR food court.

So is the food at CSR food court better than other moderate food courts ?

I also compared the price of a burger and fries.
At POFQ it would cost $5.89
At CSR it would cost $8.25

Please tell me about CSR food and the reason they have higher prices ?


We like CSR pool better than POFQ's. Now we have a food court issue

Hi,
Don't know what DDE discount is. I know we loved the food there. We were on the DDP so it was really a deal. In addition, we had refillable mugs so I wouldn't know about a charge for that. I can't see how they can charge for refill unless you ask someone there to do it for you. The drink station is self service. We only sat and ate there once and there was no additional charges. We had our food ticket stamped and when we checked out we paid our three counter service charges. Hope that helps.

We thought the food was really good. You are actually seated and have a server to bring your drinks and clean your table. I think that is why they add the tip. We were very happy with the food and service.

We loved the Pepper Market at CSR. DH wants to stay at CSR again just for the food court.

I haven't compared prices, so can't help there. But the variety at the Pepper Market is what is so great about it!!

It's been 3 years since I've been to CSR food court, but when we were there I thought the food was very good. They have a great variety and I could give no complaints. I don't know why they would charge higher prices then the other resorts, but to me, it was definitely worth it just to have the variety that they have.

We stayed at Coronado Springs and LOVED the Pepper Market! The portions were HUGE and very moderately priced! We loved the Grilled Chicken Ceasar Salad which was only about 7.50 i believe! They have a lot of different stations and great variety! Pasta, meats, spanish, salads, sandwiches, pastries, pizza, etc! I do think they charged the 10% gratuity regardless of if you took out or ate in, but the food was great...so we won't complain!

The Food at the Pepper Market was decent - just keep in mind that you don't over-order since the portions are HUGE - many of the meals my mom and I got there were enough for the two of us to share - the good thing about PM also is if you are sharing and are still hugry after - you can easily go up for more food!!!

We love the food at the Pepper Market. I don't care for or understand the 10% service charge. Me & DW share our meals & the servings are just right for us. Have enjoyed the Chicken Fajitas, taco salad, Chicken Quesidillas, made-to-order pizza, wrap of the day, grilled chicken sandwich with fries, fruit bowl & various cookies. Everything very good to excellent. An additional perk of staying at CSR is the above average food at Siestas at the main pool. Very good items there include the "loaded" nachos, large hot dog with fries basket, and an excellent Chicken Caesar wrap sandwich. We didn't care for the hamburger we had at Siesta's. I do wish PM was included in the DDE program--we would certainly buy a DDE card if it was!

I love the food at CSR and it's the best place to use your Counter Service credits. Everything is made fresh for you, nothing sits under a heat lamp. The downside, IMO, is that you have to wait for your food. Food under a heat lamp is ready right away. Food made from scratch is not. The other problem is that some things are ready before others and since there is no "kitchen" or server making sure that everything comes out at the same time. My taco salad will be ready before your pizza.
