So I have a predicament. If you've seen me you know I'm annoying everyone with all my incessant questions, but I appreciate your patience!

I'm going to Disney in November with the DxDP and I have very, very carefully planned out my itinerary - for some reason thinking that the Brown Derby was a dining option with the Candlelight Processional dining package, however now seeing that it is not has caused a bit of conflict for me. My credits have been trimmed to the bare minimum, and having to use two on a restaurant that I don't REALLY want to go to THAT much about is going to throw everything off. I'm sad about the idea of losing one of my other restaurants. So my question is this.

A) If you have the dining pass, can you purchase the Candlelight dinner package separate?

and B) Is it worth it to do that, or is it a better idea to just try to get there early and stand in line?

I appreciate your feedback and I promise I'll stop pestering everyone with all these questions soon, as my details are almost finalized!

I read a lot of posts on this topic because I didn't want to use up 2 dining credits for nothing..... We went to the Candlelight Processional on weekday, 1st week of December (without the dining package) and had no problem. I wouldn't waste a dining credit on the package ....unless you plan to see a very popular narrator or are going closer to Christmas Day. We went on a weekday (less crowded) and probably a fairly popular narrator -- Jodi Benson, voice of Ariel.

We were in line for maybe an hour? We were in that part of Epcot and just watched the line before we got in it. We planned to watch the line and get in when it looked like it was getting longer. We had some nice conversations with others in line. An area for the line was roped off and the cast member there came by and asked for a count of how many were in our group.... and told us we would get in. We checked with the people around us (just to be polite) about leaving and coming back. DW and I took turns leaving -- once to get beer/wine, another time for a bathroom break. No issues. Our seats were fine, maybe about 10 - 15 rows toward the stage from the back row.

The show was very nice... but not overwhelmingly moving or anything....

We have never done a DDP of anykind so I don't have any suggestions or thoughts on that question you pose. However I would agree with the pp on the quote above (might depend on the narrator?). I very much liked the CP and think that everyone should try it and would like to do it again sometime. My kids were not that impressed but that doesn't necessarily influence my opinion ;). Standing in line early may just be your best option.

Good luck and enjoy your trip!
