Opinions on British Air please, like it? Not like it?

We're making a decision on flying Delta from Boston to Schipol (layover), on to Madrid OR getting there with British Air from BOS to JFK, then on to Madrid. We've never flown British Air, and the scheduling is far better than Delta. Your experiences? Thanks!
Addendum: in looking further, it looks like it's a partner of BA, and we'd be flying on American Airlines. Still have not flown them either?

They are fine. I'd base my choice on schedule. I would prefer a nonstop JFK-MAD over having to transfer at AMS.

Have fun in Madrid. It's an interesting city.
