Opinions on breakfast at the Grand Floridian Cafe?

We are thinking of having a late breakfast here one morning before we head to Downtown Disney for some shopping. The menu looks nice and it would give us a chance to check out the GF Christmas decorations. Does anybody have any opinions on breakfast here? Is there anything that is especially good? What is the atmosphere like? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

DH and I visited Disney back in 2001 for our ten year wedding celebration. On our last day there we dined at the Grand Floridian for breakfast. I was just delighted with the atmosphere, food, and service!! DH had the vegetable frittata and I had the steak and eggs. I told our server to go back in the kitchen and shake the cooks hand for me!! The steak was cooked to perfection...a spectacular medium, and the eggs were just right, not to runny nor to dry. I see that you've already looked at the menu, so you can go back to get a description on the vegetable frittata. DH really enjoyed it, better than the one he had tried at Tony's in the MK. From the host at the front door, to our server, and a table visit by the manager, it was just outstanding service!! I'm a server myself so I know what to look for. We had three people who worked there offer to take our picture when they saw the camera on the table and I was just delighted not having to ask.
Well, I do hope that I've helped and I hope you enjoy your experience as much as DH and I did with ours. HAVE A BLAST!!

I've had breakfast here several times and it's always been very good. Last visit,I had the Grand American breakfast (eggs, choice of breakfast meat, biscuit (toast can be substituted) hash browns or grits, juice and coffee. I've also tried the pancakes, french toast, oatmeal and continental breakfast at different times. All good.
My son ordered the corned beef hash and it's actually strips of corned beef cooked up w/ fresh veggies and potatos. Quite different than what you usually get, but again very good!
The cafe itself is lovely and overlooks the grounds. The service has also always been great.
We try to eat here every trip, lunch is terrific, too!

I loved it! The food was great. I ate there 2 times and tried the waffles (Mickey shaped) and the pancakes. They were both outstanding. My boyfriend had the "Grand" breakfast and he said it was one of his favorite meal of the whole trip. The atmosphere is casual elegance. Definitely give it a try!

Hey GEM just got back and had breakfast there 3x and found it excellent. Service was good, atmosphere lovely and the food very good. We noticed Mon-Friday very quiet and we didn't need a PS and on our last morning Sat 11/2 just a tad bit busier but were seated within 5 minutes. Highly recommend it.

We've eaten there twice and will return probably on our July trip...it is my favorite breakfast place!
