Opinions on booking through expedia??

I happened to be looking around the other night for pricing. Got onto expedia somehow and was shocked to see the prices they were quoting...

Said it was a dream maker package and was 1/2 the price of what disney.com was quoting. Yes I realize that I could do better on rate than disney.com, but as I said was just kind of checking....

My question is has anyone booked through expedia? Any drawbacks? I'm not sure if the price included passes to the parks so that may be part of the price difference, but not sure.

I've never booked anything through expedia so i'm not sure if they generally have good rates, good service? Opinions please? Also can you book certain view through them/give requests??

I book business travel on both Expedia and Orbitz. Both are fine.

We almost booked a Disney package last year using Expedia, until I figured out that packages with UPH don't work very well for the way we tend to spend our vacation. (YMMV)

Regardless, I just checked between Disney and Expedia for the nights we are going to be staying at the YC -- with a four day Dream Maker w/ 3 nights at the resort. Expedia with tax priced out at $70 less than the Disney.com package. Obviously, neither could touch the AP rates.

Does your Expedia rate say something like: "Also includes: Disney's 4-Day Winter Dream Maker™ Package"?

I never booked a package with them but we did book our first room in December 99 on Expedia and we did not have any problems. I would have booked with Disney but they said there were not any MKC discounts (now Disney Club) available but Expedia had the MKC rate so I booked it. No problems and we got our discount without a problem.
