I need help. I have one night of TS to fill in and it's on a mellow day where we basically are spending the day at the pool. I would love to try a new restaurant at one of the hotels but need it to be preschool kid-friendly. Any suggestions?

We have done O'Hanas, Rainforest Cafe (kids were scared), Capn Jacks.

I would love to find one that has great food too.

Thanks! :listen:

How about Chef Mickey's or Whispering Canyon. I think both are great with kids young or old. I'm quite fond of the Mouse myself and can think of nothing better than to have a meal with him at Chef Mickey's. We typically do that on one of our off days. And last time we were there we tried Whispering Canyon. Both places can tend to get pretty loud, but if that is not a problem for your kids I would say they both are very kid friendly.

I would go w/ O'hanas, Chef Mickey's, Whispering Canyon, or Concourse Steakhouse.

1900 Park Faire, at Grand Floridian, would be a good choice also.
How about boma at AKL: may be a bit exotic, but the restaurant is kid-friendly.

hope you have a great time at whatever restaurant you decide upon
:cool1: :thumbsup2

:goodvibes Cinderellas gala feast at the grand floridian might be good. Lots of preschoolers there and plenty of food choices.

Whispering Canyon is a great combination of yummy food and a fun atmosphere.

Based on your signature, I am thinking you are staying at the Yacht and Beach Club. Why not try the Yacht Club Galley. It doesn't have the entertainment that the other place mentioned but has good food and is kid friendly, plus it right at your hotel.

We really love Chef Mickey's. I know it can get crowded, but if you get an early ADR you can be in and out before it gets too bad. We also really love the Concourse Steakhouse. I know it seems more adult, but on our last trip in Feb it was full of families with little ones. Our DS6 really enjoyed it, good selection of kid's foods without being a buffet.

Another vote for Whispering Canyon. The food is good and they serve you instead of you having to go up to the line to watch the little ones. Also, they have pony express rides for the little ones where they take the stick ponies and ride around the restaurant while everyone waves their napkins in the air and hoops and hollers. Afterwards, they get certificates for the ride. It is a fun place to eat, rambunctious and loud at times, but all in good fun. And again, the food IMO is very good. Check out the menu on Deb Wills site.

Spoodles is just a walk away - or a boat ride, kid friendly. There is entertainment out on the Boardwalk around dinnertime. If its a pool day for you, Beaches and Cream could be a good choice. Neither have the entertainment, but after a day at SAB, you might want a little more relaxing meal than one that involves stick ponies.

We went to California Grill twice during our recent Spring Break trip. We have a 3 and 7 yr old. They loved it because we rode the monorail into the Contemporary and then went up the elevator to the top floor of the hotel. Both nights, the staff was extremely sweet to them - gave them crayons to color on the tablecloth (butcher paper), gave them an appetizer of Goldfish to eat with chopsticks, and cooked them special variations of the food on the kids menu. We timed both ADR's around Wishes and watched from our table the first night (b/c it was COLD) and from the observation deck the 2nd night. It was a very special experience both times! We will make it a tradition on future trips. The view of the Magic Kingdom can not be beat.
