We really didn't do too many buffets this last trip but since we are bringing our 4 you DGS we will mpst likely be eating at a couple. I remember that Crystal Palace was pretty good a few years ago.Is it still good? Breakfast or dinner? What about 1900 PF again breakfast or dinner? How 'bout Cape May? TIA...:lovestruc Julie

My personal fav is Crystal Palace, I thought the food was fab! My Hubby's fav is Boma...he is all about the meat - must be a guy thing.

Now I have a question that would fit in this thread.

If choosing between Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Fare - which is your favorite and why - Characters aside - rate on food and service.

My favorite breakfast buffet is the Crystal Palace.
Favorite lunch/dinner is Askerhus.

you didn't specify "character" buffets. My fav. buffet is Boma at AK lodge. if you are driving, it is very easy to get to. It has the standards, but also some different food. the Zebra Domes are great for dessert. and the place is just gorgeous. get there early and chck out the lobby and the savannah... see the animals. (do they count as characters?;))
we also like Biergarten in Germany. you get the "show" (the german musicians) and the food is not "same ol' same ol'. schnitzel, sausages, red cabbage, auerbraten and streudel and black forest cake for dessert! yummy!

This past Sept. we ate at Crystal Palace for breakfast and Chef Mickey's for dinner and we enjoyed both of them.

For breakfast our ultimate fave is Crystal Palace...great selection, fresh and yummy. A close second is 1900 Park Fare for breakfast.

For dinner 1900 Park Fare is a good bet. Personally I don't enjoy buffets for dinner as much as breakfast.

I think Boma is the best buffet on property. The character selection notwithstanding, 1900 Park Faire gets high marks. I'd rate it just a notch above Chef Mickey's as far as quality and service.

In the parks, Crystal Palace is my favorite.

We love Crystal Palace, Boma and Tusker House all for breakfast.

We haven't found too many places we really enjoy for buffet dinners. Maybe Ohana...I know it's not a buffet, rather family style, but it's all you can eat...and now that I'm thinking about it, it's not bad for breakfast too.

I am not a huge buffet fan but I really enjoy the one at Crystal Palace, both for breakfast and dinner. I found Chef Mickey's to be not nearly as good.

Boma's breakfast or dinner is great! Crystal Palace (Pooh) and Tusker House(Mickey and friends) are also favorites for breakfast. We also enjoy Cape May for dinner.

I enjoy BOMA and The Biergarten. I used to love Chef Mickey's, but alas, the food keeps going downhill.

I like the Crystal Palace breakfast & this past August we did the lunch there...it was great! Lots of great food & delicious desserts! This Aug. we are trying it for dinner.

We like Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, and 1900 PF for dinner.

& Cape May for breakfast!

The best breakfast buffet with characters by far has to be Tusker House. We thought it was excellent.

DW says "Hands down, it's Boma."

I say I haven't had a bad buffet experience. My favorites are Boma, Chef Mickey's for breakfast amd Trail's End.
