Weve only stayed at Contemporary and AKL. Our next trip I was thinking Poly or GF but my husband thinks BC looks neat, I've only really ever given much thought or research to the 4 I listed above. I know BC is a deluxe as well. Who's been there? Did you like it? Is Cape May good? Thanks!!!

Location can't be beat but as a family, we honestly prefer YC for several reasons.
1) the decor
2) the MK bus picks up at YC first
3) you don't have to smell the marketplace (that's clearly a me issue).

1. We have.
2. No, loved it!
3. We think so.

We are huge fans of the Epcot Area Resorts. Nothing beats being able to walk to 2 parks.

We stayed at BC for the first time in March. We really enjoyed it! The proximity to Epcot and HS is great. DS loved the pool and slide. We didn't eat at Cape May because we stayed CL and kept other meals to a minimum, but when we walked by it looked popular (e.g., restaurant was full every day). For our August trip, we are returning to Poly plus two nights at CR, but we have a YC trip planned for the fall. It's a great area.

+1

We stayed at Pop one year, with a "once in a lifetime" split stay at BC. Well, you know how that goes. Now we pretty much won't stay anywhere but BC.

I love BC for it's proximity to Epcot and I think Cape May at dinner is great!

But I have to agree with @Mousemommy1 about that Marketplace smell. Our room was close to the Marketplace (awesome location!) so we passed it constantly, but it smelled like a weird combination of burnt toast, seaweed and shells all the time. :crazy2: The smell outside of Cape May at dinner was off putting as well. Maybe I just have a sensitive nose.

I love the YC/BC, YC is my favorite resort on WDW property and I've stayed in just about all of them. I prefer YC over BC just because it has more of an adult vibe to it and I don't have a little one any more and if you aren't on the ground floor, you are pretty much guaranteed a full balcony. At BC there is a possibility you will get a Juliet balcony, which is fine but I like sitting out on my balcony in the morning with my coffee and at night to see the lights. We haven't eaten at Cape May in years so I can't speak to that but I do know it can smell kind of fishy at night when you walk by. For us, the Epcot resorts are all we stay in, we love them all and you can't go wrong with any of them.

We thought the BC was nice and we love Cape May (it's one of our favorites), but one negative for us is limited CS. The Marketplace has quick serve items, but we don't find the variety there that is available at the other resorts you mention (just my family's opinion). BC is in a great location as you can't beat being within walking distance to Epcot and DHS, but the Poly and GF would win out over the BC for us.

You can walk to HS too from there?! We always rent a car so getting to other parks we don't do buses. I just love being able to walk to MK bc getting there sucks!

Yes HS is maybe a 15 or 20 minute walk, we almost always walked instead of taking the boat when we stayed at YC or BC.

We also prefer YC because of the full balconies and there being less chaos in the lobby area. I think they just renovated the YC to add a small CS which would make it even better. Still the BC marketplace and I'm sure YC CS aren't really very interesting but you're so close to WS that you can just go over there for more interesting CS options. When we were at SAB we would get food from Hurricane Hannahs which was nothing great but we wanted to spend the afternoon at the amazing pool so it was an OK option.

You described it perfectly! It didn't help that when we stayed there I was 5 months pregnant. UGH...

Yacht Club is our favorite resort. The differences between YC and BC aren't that great and we would stay at BC as well, we just prefer the full balconies and lobby at YC. I personally think the YC/BC resort is the best on property (also stayed at Poly and POR and visited Boardwalk Inn, Grand Floridian, Contemporary, and AKL). For me, the best things about YC/BC are: (1) proximity to Epcot - love the 5 minute walk to Epcot to grab a drink or bite to eat (especially during Food & Wine and Flower & Garden), walk around the different countries or hop on a ride; (2) the pool - SAB is by far the best pool on property and we tend to spend time at the pool every day in the early afternoon; (3) walk/boat to Hollywood Studios - we don't spend a ton of time at DHS but we really enjoy Tower of Terror, Rock n Roller Coaster and Toy Story, so it is nice to be able to hit DHS at rope drop, ride those rides, and have easy transportation back to the resort.

Personally, we did not enjoy Cape May and won't return. Lots of folks like it though.

This fall will be our 4th stay at YC. Really looking forward to it.

We recently stayed at the Beach Club for the fourth time. Love it! We rent DVC points...I can't imagine paying rack rates for a deluxe, but that's just me.

I love....
The smell of the lobby (green clover and aloe, they tell me)
The lobby itself
The very short walk to Epcot
The slightly longer walk to HS
Strolls or surrey bike rides around the Boardwalk
Stormalong Bay
The hustle and bustle of stuff always just going on when you are out around Crescent Lake

I enjoy...
Cape May character breakfast
The room

I am okay with...
The strong crab smell from Cape May
Limited food options in the market place

I always get...
Grocery delivery

We stayed there after doing 5 nights at the Poly. We preferred the BC much more than the Poly. The walk to Epcot, the pool, the Boardwalk area. It can't be beat!

Love the BC. I have stayed there 8 times so far. I love the quick walk over to Epcot. It's great at night to be in WS within 5 minutes. SAB is my favorite pool. Yes it is a little crowded and can be chaos at times, but that doesn't bother me. I also love the smell of the lobby. Beaches and Cream is great as well for a lunchtime meal. My family doesn't care for Cape May. But that doesn't mean the food is bad. We are from New England and so are seafood snobs. However, love Yatchsman. Also great that you can walk to the fabulous restaurants at the Swan/dolphin.

Stormalong Bay is the main attraction, so make sure you spend some time there. Cape May Cafe has a nice character breakfast buffet, and Beaches & Cream is a nicely themed ice cream cafe (get reservations asap). The Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club next door is the best restaurant we've visited at Disney, and Crew's Cup Lounge is a nice drop-in spot for a table service meal.

I liked it for it's proximity to EPCOT, but it was a little "plain" for me, compared to the theming at other resorts. We like BWV better. Even YC was better for us. We do actually like the MarketPlace for breakfast. We've had lunch and dinner there a couple of times too, and it was decent. When are you going? If you are going around Christmas time, they have (or at least they used to have) a fun gingerbread display.

Happy planning!

We have stayed there several times and doing so again in September for a quick trip when my oldest visits the University of Florida. As other have said, you cannot beat the location. Walking to Epcot is a huge advantage to staying here. The walk to HS is pleasant too if it isn't too hot. The pool is AMAZING for kids. It's definitely one of our favorite resorts. We just stayed at the Poly for two weeks in May. We loved it there too. The resort is amazing. Being on the monorail line was convenient, but prefer the location of the BC.

We've eaten at beaches & cream and loved it. I like the idea of being close to just get ice cream there at night! We are thinking Feb so not sure we could swim? We went one Dec and it was in the 40s/50s.
