Opinions on beach club???

Y
We have stayed there several times and doing so again in September for a quick trip when my oldest visits the University of Florida. As other have said, you cannot beat the location. Walking to Epcot is a huge advantage to staying here. The walk to HS is pleasant too if it isn't too hot. The pool is AMAZING for kids. It's definitely one of our favorite resorts. We just stayed at the Poly for two weeks in May. We loved it there too. The resort is amazing. Being on the monorail line was convenient, but prefer the location of the BC.[/QUOTE

You prefer location better than a mono resort? Seems being on a mono one would be best bc getting to MK is a pain. We always rent a car so we don't do the bus. I loved Contemporary bc we could walk to MK.

If you walk to Epcot from BC at rope drop do they escort you to future world? The countries aren't open yet right? Or can you still walk around just not go in anything?

We've eaten at beaches & cream and loved it. I like the idea of being close to just get ice cream there at night! We are thinking Feb so not sure we could swim? We went one Dec and it was in the 40s/50s.
I'd at least use one of their three hot tubs.

Love, love, love the BC. It's our favorite resort. Location is fantastic, the pool is great, CMs overall are very friendly and helpful. There are plenty of places to eat for us-but we aren't huge resort quick service fans so we don't notice a lack of a large one. We've enjoyed Captain's Grill, Beaches and Cream, Crews Cup, the Yachtsman and Cape May. Yes it can be a bit smelly by CM sometimes but we don't spend long periods of time in the lobby so we really don't notice it much. Wandering into Epcot from the resort is a huge bonus and the trip to HS is fairly quick too. 2 less bus trips! We've been lucky and have gotten a full balcony each stay and we do enjoy the view and people watching with the bonus of fireworks if we're back at night. We even enjoyed weathering out the hurricane last Oct while we were there. CMs were great during it.

My family loves the Beach Club. We stayed there last year and we're going back in November. Our room was at the end closest to Epcot, so it was about a 3 minute walk. We enjoyed walking to France for breakfast! My kids loved the pool and waterslide. The proximity to the Boardwalk is also a plus. The rooms are great. The food court was a little lacking, but it was fine to grab something quick. We liked Cape May for breakfast, but didn't try dinner. Beaches and Cream was also really good. I would highly recommend it. Happy planning!

When you enter through the International gateway, they have ropes up blocking the countries. You have to walk by the UK and Canada pavilions to get to Future World. I think you can also go to the bakery in France for breakfast, but you cannot walk past France. It similar if you head to Norway at rope drop, they have ropes up blocking the rest of the countries until 11:00am.

Crew's Cup is a hidden gem. One of our favorite places at Disney to grab food and/or a drink.

We have eaten there several times but when we were there last year it was our hurricane meal on Thursday once they closed the parks. Cheeseburger and a beer never tasted better!

Not who you were addressing this to but I can say we definitely prefer the Epcot resorts to the Monorail resorts. For us, MK is at best a one day park, usually a half day park. I've often thought about doing a split stay with a mono resort and an Epcot resort but the monorail is the reason we don't. I dislike having to rely on it to get to Epcot, I don't think I've ever been on it when it hasn't had to stop for at least 10 min. on the tracks. If they gave you the option of taking the monorail or a bus to Epcot, we might be more apt to split a stay with one. We used to stay in the monorail resorts before the Epcot ones opened but for us, you can't beat being able to walk to two parks. As far at CR, it is my least favorite deluxe resort and other than the value resorts, might well be my least favorite resort in all. I just don't like the convention center look to the place, it is nice to walk to MK but not worth not being able to get to Epcot and HS as easily for me.

We stayed at BC for the first time last year and fell in love with the resort almost immediately! We loved it so much, we booked it again for this upcoming trip. We love Cape May - we do both breakfast and dinner there, and Beaches & Cream for dinner. The pool is amazing.. we take midday breaks each day of our trips, so every afternoon was spent at SAB and it just made the trip so much more relaxing. The rooms were beautiful and clean, and we loved our location- right on the first floor, down the hallway off of the lobby right next to the Marketplace. The proximity to 2 parks is great - 5 minute walk to Epcot and we took the boat to DHS but you can also walk. We thought the transportation as a whole was the best we've experienced in all of our 24 trips on property. The bus to MK, DS and AK were on time, never full and they even pick up Yacht Club first and we never had to stand once. At night it is so nice to walk around Crescent Lake to the Boardwalk and just take in the atmosphere.

What do you like better about Poly? We've stayed Poly and Yacht Club and def prefer Yacht Club.

While the food was delicious, the deluxe room was spacious, and CM at CL were wonderful, the layout did not work for us. It was a maze for is and my kids didn't feel the Disney there.

The Poly immerses us in Disney being right in front of the MK. The tiki torches and music remind us of the tropical theming. We love the food options there and the monorail. Although the layout of the BC lounge is roomy and beautiful, the Poly lounge has an amazing view. It was good to split, but my kids and I were glad to be back at the Poly because it is where we started when they were very young, and we love everything about it there.
