Hi everyone,

Our next trip will be our 10th, and we want to try some new restaurants. We have our favorites that we return to and hope to eat at next year (Le Cellier, Kona Cafe, Yak and Yeti, Teppan Edu, Yachtsman's Steakhouse)

But we want to try some new ones as well.
I'd love to get your opinions on the following restaurants (theme, food quality, what you reccomend, service, location, etc.)

*Grand Floridian Cafe

*The Wave

*Garden Grill

*Chefs de France

*Flying Fish

*Nine Dragons

Thanks in advance!

Flying Fish is my favorite of restaurants on Disney's Dining Plan (and we've eaten at almost every place).

Chefs de France. We enjoy it for lunch; not so much for dinner.

Grand Floridian Cafe. It's OK, not a place I would highly recommend.

Nine Dragons. Meh.

Garden Grill. Fun.

Wave. Have not tried yet.

Agree with Pakey. Flying Fish is great. Have enjoyed Chefs de France many times. Not too impressed with Garden Grill. Never been to Nine Dragons. But it sure doesn't get very good reviews.

Definitely the Flying Fish. On our trip last May, we decided to try it since we got to the World late that day and it was close to our room. The service was exceptional. The food was even better. We even decided to go back later in the week.

I would NOT do Chef's de France - we went for dinner and were really disappointed. Although the cheese plate was good, everything else was just meh.

GF Cafe - Wouldn't go out of my way to go there again myself, but my husband said the Grand Sandwich (Open-faced hot Turkey, Ham, Bacon and Tomato, with a rich Boursin Cheese Sauce and Fried Onion Straws for $11.99) was the best sandwich he's ever had. And the man has eaten some sandwiches, believe me .... They have mini desserts, too, which is nice. I sometimes would like a little bite of something, but wouldn't be able to finish a whole dessert.

Chefs - Had an impromptu lunch there in January and we were kind of underwhelmed. I had a soup, my husband had a sandwich. Everything was kind of ... meh. Not bad, but just not terribly impressive. Service was slow too. My daughter had the kids' cheese pastry appetizer and THAT was delicious. It's a pretty dining room as well.

Flying Fish - Love, love, love this place. The decor is just beautiful, but not in a stuffy or formal way. The wait staff is professional, knowledgeable and friendly, and the food is impressive. It can take a little too long to get a drink from the bar, though. :rolleyes1 Regardless, it's our favorite WDW restaurant. And the Boardwalk is just lovely for a stroll after dinner.

Can't help you with the rest, but I have seriously considered working GG into our plans. The Wave's menu sounds really interesting too, and I think it's been getting good reviews (looks cool, too).

Have fun!
