Just last week we decided to take a trip in June, the first ever June trip for us. I've been watching the fares on Airtran and planning to book tomorrow. So far the fare down and back has been $59-great deal, I just couldn't book it until tomorrow. Today when I checked the return fare is up to $109, a difference of 250.00 for 5 people :scared1:

We are flying out of Lexington KY, a very small airport with only 1 Airtran flight a day to/from Orlando-I'm thinking that the chance of the fare dropping back down is slim to none. Also they only fly Sun,Mon,Wed,Fri. Anyone here think it could drop back down?

Our trip was from Sun-Sun, if we return on Mon we can still get a $59 fare. Of course that means we would have to stay another night at Disney. We are doing a dining package deal at the Poly, adding another night to the package definitely does NOT save us any money.

Our arriving flight does not get in until 7:30pm so my thoughts were to stay at POP the first night and then transfer over to the Poly the next morning-early so that we can get checked in and pick up park tickets to go on with our day as planned. The night at POP is $100, but still $150 less than the extra airfare. Also it would "give" us a full day to get use of the package we have booked, since that first night we wouldn't be at the resort until around 9pm due to using ME.

What would you do?

I like your idea to stay the first night at POP. But I will tell you from experience that AirTran flight prices do change and there is still a possibility that it will drop again before your departure.

Still - I think you should go with your plan to stay at Pop room only first night and then transfer on over to the poly!

Most airline prices fluctuate weekly. I would keep watching, I think they will definitely change before your trip, maybe not back to the 59 rate, but probably better than the 109.

If it were us, I'd still add that extra day though. What is so bad about having to spend another day at Disney?:thumbsup2

another option is to get an airport hotel the night you arrive. They all offer free shuttle service and it can be a nice start to the trip. You can then catch the shuttle back to MCO and get ME the next morning.....

Best of luck..
