I know this has been asked to death, but I really have never seen opinions on one particular excursion: The Cozumel Ruins and BEach Break. Has anyone done this tour? What did you think of the San Gervasio ruins and Playa Sol.
My fear with this tour is: it will be boring for my 12 yo, Playa Sol will be extremely crowded by the time we get there. (we don't leave for this excurision until noon and then head to ruins first). We have been to Playa Sol before and really had a great time, but I wanted to add something "cultural" this time.
I can't do the Jeep tours as I have a bad back and so does dh. We thought about doing Coz on our own, but then I wanted to try something new. Anyone have any opinions on the ruins/beach break tour? Should I cancel it and book a different one? If so, then which one? Or should we wing it?
Thanks!
Lisa

bump...although we decided not to do this one, just incase we should.....

We did this excursion on the 7/6 Western. They had just added the beach break the week before so I think they were still working out the kinks. We loved Tulum! It was very informative. Our guide was great as he was of Mayan descent and was very knowledgeable. Your 12 year old should find this very interesting as they cover the Mayans in 6th grade SS. It was hot, but well worth the trip. The beach break was nice but was too short (maybe they changed this). The bus had a/c so overall we weren't overheated. There was a place to change into swimsuits and the lunch was from Subway. I would recommend this excursion.

I beleive their is some confusion re: this excursion. The Cozumel Ruins and beach break does not go to Tulim, it is my understanding it only goes to San Gervasio

I think that I am the one that is confused!!!! We went on the Tulum Ruins excursion which was on the mainland. It also had a beach break.

Sorry.
