We are staying at AKV in a few weeks and will have a rental car for the first time. During one day of our stay, we plan to go to Epcot in the evening and then have dinner at the Yacht Club.

Which would you recommend and is option #2 permitted by Disney?

1. Park the car in the Epcot parking lot, visit Epcot, then drive over to the Yacht Club.
2. Park the car at the Yacht Club, walk to Epcot, and then walk back to the Yacht Club for dinner

We are doing something similar on a different day, but at Magic Kingdom. We will visit Magic Kingdom in the evening, then have dinner at the Grand Floridian.

1. Park the car at TTC, go to MK, then return to TTC and drive to GF
2. Park the car at GF, take the monorail to MK, then return to GF

Thanks for all responses!

All of the deluxe resorts that are adjacent to parks have signs that say "We can not provide theme park parking". You can, however, park at Epcot or TTC and take park transport (or walk) to the resorts.

What part of Epcot do you plan to visit that night? If it's World Showcase, then I would recommend valet parking at Yacht Club then you are permitted to stay longer.

BUT, if it's around Christmas and crowded, you may not be permitted to do that. But usually paying for valet gives you parking at the resort without a time limit.

We've done that at the Grand Floridian too. If you know you're going to either eat then go to a park, or do the park then eat, you should valet. That makes it fair and you're not breaking a rule by doing so.

Doing the TTC idea for your GF night will only work if you plan to be done no later than an hour after park closing if they still are closing down the monorail. Otherwise, you'll have to take a bus.

Hmm, is valet expensive? For Epcot, we will be in World Showcase and plan to eat at the Crew's Cup Lounge either before or after Illuminations depending on how hungry we are. At Magic Kingdom, our reservations at the GF are a little more than an hour after the last fireworks show. If we decide not to do valet, but can find a spot at the hotel, what is the time limit for parking? Thanks!

They often check for reservation times and there is a 3 hour limit. Keep in mind, parking is for the guests of the hotel not for parking and going to the parks.
Valet parking is 12.00 per day plus tip. Parking at the parks is 14.00 per day.
