Opinions needed about AKL in Oct.

We are planning a short 5 night trip around Oct. 16th.
The Disney website shows availability at all levels of AKL. We are thinking of splurging and staying concierge to do the sunrise safari.

Do you think the main building construction will be done by then?
I know the construction will be in full swing for the new building, but how will that effect the stay other then daytime noise?
Will I be able to see the construction?

We were going to stay at AKL in late October, but all of the rumors of construction spooked me, so we changed our plans. AKL in a SV room has been a dream of mine for a long time, but the Poly has been a dream of Gabby's practically since birth, so that is where we are staying this time. I would much rather wait and see AKL in the best possible light than to go and have the dream crushed. Maggie

I am staying in AKL in late October and have been told by Guest Services that inside construction is to be done by the end of August. Even if it gets delayed for some reason, we still have about two months. I was also assured that as of now (I will call back closer to my reservation time), Standard Club Level rooms will not be affected. I am keeping my reservation unless Disney calls and says otherwise.

We are checking in Oct 18 - Oct 22 - and have a Savannah view with bunkbeds. I actually called this morning to upgrade to club level but was told that the only club level rooms left are with a pool view only. (I always thought that all club level had savannah views but i guess i was wrong). I am going to keep checking though to see if a club level savannah opens up.

As for construction, I've been monitoring the boards and unless I missed something, those that have stayed at AKL in July haven't seemed to have been bothered by the construction.
