I have reservations for WDW this weekend 12/5-12/7. I am taking my 2 dd's and my husband just found out he can't go. I am a little nervous about the parade crowd for 12/6 (xmas parade taping). I now have the chance to go the following weekend 12/13-12/15 instead and have been given a gift certificate for a 2 night stay at a hotel nearby. Which weekend do you think will be easier to navigate crowd wise?? Also, what are the crowds like on a day that is having the MVMCP that night?

The closer you get to Christmas the crazier it will get. I don't know how the taped parade would affect the crowds though. I've never been to a parade taping before. Guessing it's really crazy. It's up to you, but if it was me I would go this weekend and just avoid the parade taping if possible. Then again...with just you by yourself w/ the kids... I don't know. I guess I'm not much help. :confused3 I don't like going at Christmastime b/c of the horrendous crowds.

We visited from 12/9-13 in 2006 staying at CBR and attended the Christmas parade then. Crowds were minimal, the longest time we waited for any ride was 20 minutes for Dumbo in the middle of the day & approximately 30 for Splash Mountain. Another day when the park opened we waited less then 5 minutes for most rides. We enjoyed visiting all the parks and hotels and taking time to look at the decorations so much, we plan to go back in a few days!

Hope this helps!

Next visit: 12/13-21/08 CR

I would say 12/13 - 12/15 because pop warner or whatever it is ends on the 13th so that would be the better weekend!

Yes go for the taping most of the crowd is gonna be down there on main st with the parade an taping... I would avoide Main st during tapin tho.... if ya need to leave park just go over to train station hop train take it to main St station get off train an leave park.

I agree. I've been on both those dates and had no problem, but, given the choice, I'd go the weekend without Pop Warner.:cheer2:
