Opinions about Cape May or 'Ohana for dinner?

I would like to treat my 10 year old son to dinner at one of these two restaurants. We enjoy walking over to the Boardwalk area and visiting Beaches & Cream for dessert sounds like a nice idea. But 'Ohana sounds like fun and we love the Polynesian resort too. Any thoughts on which may be more fun for a 10 year old boy? He sounds like he could be too old for the games at 'Ohana.

Of course, Mom enjoying the food and atmosphere is a definite plus too! ;)

We have not been to Ohana for several years. Our son is now 12 so I don't think he would be too interested in the games they play, although they are a lot of fun for little ones.
We ate at the Cape May Clam Bake last year and it was really good. They have a large variety of seafood (of course- since it's a clam bake), and many other non-seafood choices. They also have a children's area that adults are free to pick from also. The dessert area is awesome.....save some room. This is not a character meal (their breakfast is), but a great restaurant with excellent food.

Personally, we did not care for Ohana's. The menu is very heavy on the meats!! The Cape May Buffet is one of our favorites, and a must do each visit. There is a very large selection and variety of food, so even the pickiest eater will be satisfied.

I would consider the cuisine the most, since you said that your son would't be interested in the games anyway. See what type of food he prefers and then make your decision. :):):)

Cape May it is then! Even though DS loves meats, I think he'll enjoy Cape May based on what you have said. And I think that I'll definitely like Cape May better. Thanks! :D

We like them both, but when push comes to shove, Cape May always wins, hands down!

We are huge fans of steamed clams, mussels and shrimp, not to mention the incredible array of desserts.

As for 'Ohana... the ambience is probably a bit better, especially if you can see the MK from where you are sitting. But, as you said, your son probably won't be into the games. The food here is very good, as well.

Both are about the same price...

Check out the menus on wdwig.com and see which menu appeals to him, and go from there!
