I am planning to to dinner at Wolfgang Puck Cafe before seeing La Nouba. What is your opinion of the food and atmosphere?

I loved the food there! The apps were great. I had the cheese ravioli as my entree and it was delicious. The red sauce on it was fantastic - lots of garlic though, so if you're not a fan I'd stay away. The fondue for dessert was wonderful as well. And if you're a drinker, try the starburst martini. It was unbelievably good. I mean really, really good.

As for the atmosphere...well, the tables are VERY close together. And our waiter was horrible. But we had a nice time with the food!

Have a wonderful trip!

Have only been here once so far (Jan) but really enjoyed it & will go back.

Veg. spring rolls, bread, Asian Hoisin BBQ ribs & fondue all great.
Fettucini Wolfredo really good but FWIW it has a bit of a smoky flavor since they add pancetta to it - very good.
Kids Cali Roll - DS8 said good but wanted more.
Filet - DH said good but not "OMG this is the best piece of meat I've ever eaten" FYI- he's picky about his steak & we were at Emeril's the night before so take it FWIW.
They have alot of specialty drinks. I had the "Live, Love, Eat". Could have had several.

Service was polite & adequate but nothing to get excited over.

The food is quite good, I've had the margahrita pizza and some pasta disk and I think a sandwich. The atmosphere is like a small cafe, with some outdoor seating and a small indoor dining area.

We dined there last Thanksgiving Day before heading off to see La Nouba. It was a wonderful dinner, with attentive service and excellent food.

Apps were Caesar salad, calamari (both wonderful) and spring rolls (just okay) with great dipping sauces. Entrees were pasta with bolognese, pasta with meatball, and pumpking ravioli with a side of grilled shrimp. All were wonderful and very generous portions. Desserts were worth every calorie -- a special for the season, pumpkin cheesecake, chocolate cake and carrot cake.

Will surely dine here again.

Worth noting, inside is rather close and very loud. Patio was quieter and quite relaxing. Lively vs. airy. You pick!

Enjoy,
penny

We ate there twice at Christmas and it was great!! It is VERY small, so we ate outside both times and it was fine. Very good sandwiches and pizza!

We ate there for dinner with the kids. Food was excellent. But..... about 4 or 5 hours later my husband and I both got food poisoning. The only thing we shared, that the kids did not, was the huge salad. So I'm guessing ecoli from greens not washed well enough. Thank God the kids didn't try the salad - ecoli can be very harmful for kids, while many adults can weather a bout of ecoli without serious effect.

We've eaten there twice in the last year. The first time we sat inside, the second time we ate outside. I preferred the outside.

On our first visit, I had the veggie spring rolls (very good) and the pumpkin ravioli without the port wine glaze (ravioli was good, but the sauce was pretty much just butter and brown sugar). On the second trip, I had the cheese and spinach appetizer (icky!) and the cheese ravioli (very, very good!). DH had the calamari appetizer both times (loved it) and for entrees the Wolf steak (okay, but boring) and a grouper special (very good). We both had carrot cake for our desserts both times and LOVED it.

We love to eat at Pucks. We have eaten inside, outside and at the Quickie window beside the main area. The spring vegie rolls are wonderful. My DH always gets the seafood special. We loved the small sugar free creme brulees.
The only problem we have had is when people ignore the DO NOT FEED THE BIRDS signs.

Love WP for sushi, but was fairly unimpressed with dinner there. I found the salt heavy handed & the flavors, muddy.

We ate there last year and it was "ok". It was kinda crowded and loud, but everyone seemed to enjoy the dinner (except me). Our service was pretty good, but I was not happy with the chef. Our server made some recommendations for certain things and I mentioned that I couldn't have some of them because I was allergic to shellfish. At that point, he wouldn't take my order until the chef came over and talked to me. I told the chef I wanted the Macademica Crusted Chicken and he said I couldn't order that because it is deep fried and they also deep fry the shrimp in the same frier... I insisted that I wasn't that allergic and ate at places like Red Lobster, Captain D's, etc where they cook all of that stuff in the same oil too. I just can't eat the things! The end result is that he recommended I try the Spicy Chicken Penne, so I finally agreed but didn't think was very good...

As for the appetizers, we really enjoyed the Spinach & Five cheese dip, BBQ chicken quesadilla, asian style veggie spring rolls, and others really enjoyed the blue lump crab cakes (there were 8 of us there). I don't recall what entrees everyone else ordered, but it was all eaten. (I put pics of the food on the WDW food pics thread).

Now the desserts were YUMMY! The fondue, the carrot cake, the creme brulee, the cheesecake (mmmm), AND the souffle cake.

We are gonna give it another shot in a few weeks while we are there, but this time I won't mention my allergy... :goodvibes

We loved Wolfgang Puck's Cafe in October and are definelty planning on going back again!

We had the bbq chicken quesadilla, steak, and the pumpkin raviloi, with the chocolate fondue for dessert.

Everything was great! I just wish that we were a bit more hungery as that neither of us finished our meals.
