Opinion? DAH or EMM

We are going in May and are waiting for the dates to open up.
Which experience is worth the money for the time? Or is either really worth it?

Both are worth it in the right scenario. Really depends on the makeup and interests of your group.
I’m sure if you provide specifics plenty of folks will share valuable insights.

I have been looking into the same thing and there are a few things that I have been weighing. This is my third trip with my DDs (10 & 8) and our first trip in the summer months. We no longer have the need to try to squeeze every minute out of the park. We plan on enjoying the pools (SAB). In addition to this, the length of stay matters to me. This is my longest stay so I can get all of the major rides in via FP and don't feel the need to spend the extra money. I know that this seems scattered but it is just what I am thinking. If my trip was shorter, it would be worth it and this is what I see. You have 2 DD (12/14) so the big rides are most likely on your schedule. EMM at HS allows you to experience TS and still FP RR and TT. DAH at AK allows the run on Pandora. This is not an answer, but my thoughts. Enjoy

Which parks are you considering/comparing?

DAH - MK, DHS, or DAK?

EMM - MK or DHS?

Agreed with above, it depends a lot on your groups and what you want to accomplish. My family doesn’t do well with late nights (except my husband, who just has to deal with the rest of us being early risers until the kids are older!), so EMM fits us better. If you’re night owls, DAH offers a schedule that might fit you better and more rides.

Is your family looking todo all the DHS rides or just TSL? There’s a lot more available at night IF you can stay up for it. But in the morning you can knock off TSL and then rope drop the other stuff before it’s too busy...that’s our plan since we can’t do the night time.

What are the age ranges in your group? How do you normally tour (e.g., rope droppers or late nighters)?

I've decided on DAH at HS vs EMM:
- I've done EMM at MK and felt a bit rushed
- I'm traveling with kids who can stay going later now
- I'm able to plan the day of as a relaxing morning, and next day to start in the afternoon.
- TSL is incredibly beautiful at night
- We love all the rides at HS

Also consider what ticket option you have. With EMM, you need to have a park ticket for that day. With DAH, no park ticket necessary.

Were you already planning on doing parks that day, and if so, did you plan on staying in DHS or getting a park hopper? If so, it doesn’t matter. But this could be a good option to do one less ticket day, make it a primary Disney Springs/pool day and then head to DHS in the evening.

Personally, I prefer DAH because there are more ride options. Also it gives me a chance to sleep in more than EMM!

Ty everyone for your input! I think DAH for HWS wins. We want to catch all the rides that will be open and it sounds like a better plan. Not sure on our tickets yet. We have always been AP holders until this year. I let them expire because my kids really want to hit DL at the end of the year so debating what tickets we will end up with.
