Opinion AKV or VWL

I have AKV's booked but VWL just opened up in October. How is the boat ride to MK? Will there be long lines for it? Is it better than a bus ride from AKV?

Is there construction at VWL?

We are there for one night for MNSSHP if that makes a difference. Yes, I am aware that AKV is a loooong bus ride to MK.

It probably opened up because of the construction. We were scheduled to be there in November and Disney moved us to another resort.

I loved the boat ride over the summer. The resort boat dock is the closest transportation to the MK turnstyles. It was very relaxing, and much more civil than the cattle call walk to the bus stop.... But I'm not sure the boat ride was faster.

FWIW, there are a mix of boats used. The smaller boat is not accessible (if you are dealing with scooters or strollers)

That said, with the construction, I probably wouldn't choose VWL.

Whether you take a boat or bus from VWL to MK, it will be faster than the bus from AKV. But with the construction at VWL...I'd stay at AKV.

I love them both. My first recommendation is go to the one you haven't stayed at. Beyond that, if you are spending multiple days at Magic Kingdom, I would say go to VWL.
