Hello! 108 days to go so I thought it would be a good time to start a trip report. I am calling the ptr "operation short-shorts" to motivate myself to exercise. I am starting my healthy eating and exercise plan on Monday. Mondays are always a good day to start a diet! I am planning on doing Shaun T T25 program and then Insanity.

We are taking advantage of free dining so I will have to work extra hard for a little wiggle room in my shorts since we'll be eating big meals every day. And there are so many good treats (I  sweets!) to be had at Disney the problem will be deciding what to eat!

The travel party is me, Sarah, 34 year old mom to Mia and Westin, 10 and almost 3. Daddy can't come this trip due to work schedules so we will be traveling with my best friend since elementary school Bridget and her mom Grace and brother Rob.

We are all staying together in a Lion King family suite at Art of Animation. Past stays we did Pop and POR so we're really excited to try out AOA!

This will be Westin's second trip but he was 8 months old the first time he went so I am really excited to see Disney through his eyes this trip!

If anyone out there wants to join me or is already on an exercise/diet plan please feel free to post your favorite workouts, diet tips, etc. I plan on posting my progress to keep myself motivated and not quit, which is what usually happens when I start a diet. So I'll be keeping it real and posting some before shots but not until monday. For now I think I have some chocolate peanut butter ice cream that needs finished while we watch one of our newly discovered favorites Wreck it Ralph.

Let the planning and exercise begin!

I’m back after a great holiday weekend. In Pennsylvania it seemed like winter was never going to stop but the last three days were beautiful! Week one of T25 is complete and I am on week two. Last week I didn’t follow any diet plan because I knew I would have a week of soreness due to starting the exercise program. Officially starting today with the healthy diet and haven’t cheated yet (the day is young). 14 weeks to go until Disney! That works out to losing one pound a week and I would be happy with that.

Oh, and also, I reread my first post today and realized I am not 34 years old but 35, soon to be 36 in August. But I did get my kid’s ages correct so that’s a plus.

I love, love, love Disney World! We first went when I was 11 and I don’t remember much of that trip other than it was hot, Space Mountain had a long line and was scary. I count my first official visit as January of 2009 and I fell in love. We (Paul, Mia and me) stayed at Pop Century in the 50’s section, first floor, corner room right in front of the pool, great spot. Had a magical time and couldn’t wait to get back. So we went again in January of 2010 with my mom and grandma, August 2010 just the 3 of us. Skipped 2011 because Westin was born in June and I couldn’t convince Paul to go that year, he does not love Disney as much as I do…but managed to get him to agree to January 2012 so that was an acceptable compromise.

Mia and I went with her dance studio November of 2012 and took part in the Christmas day parade that airs on ABC. That was quite an experience and we got to see some of the backstage which I really enjoyed. Then my last visit was September 2013, just Paul and I, to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary! 3 months early as our anniversary is 12/27 but free dining came out, the airfare was right, I got Paul to say yes, so I jumped on it! We had a great time and I really enjoyed having an adult trip where we didn’t have a diaper bag, stroller, cranky kids that need naps.

Let me add that I am bad at formatting pictures, the first picture above is gigantic and the second one is too tiny. I will get better at it, promise.

But for the next 2 pictures, tiny is better as I don’t want to see my “before” pictures in gigantic size and I’m sure you don’t either.
These are the short-shorts for which my PTR is named. Currently they don’t zip up entirely or button so I have some exercising to do.

And this is the view from behind, also providing me much motiviation to exercise!

Current weight (as of 5/18) is 137.50 and I am almost 5’6”, at least when I stand up straight, because I have a problem with slouching. I am especially slouchy when at work sitting at my desk, I should really work on that.

Some of my favorite things at Disney are The Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan’s Flight and Tower of Terror. I would also really like to do the Animation Academy, I have only done it once but would like to try that again. Of course the Mine Coaster is top of the list to ride, very excited to try that, hoping Westin reaches 38 inches so he can ride too! I may have to invest in some kind of platform tennis shoes…
