Operation FOURTH! a July PTR - June 24th, shopping errands and lists!

I wouldn't be getting back in the car either, actually that's why we don't even rent one. LOL! But with such a busy day, movie on the beach sounds about perfect to me.

You know, I hear you. Matt is the one who really likes having his car... he just doesn't care for the busses, and likes to be in control of his own whereabouts I guess. With the auto train we get our own car, and I don't mind taking it to the park, but in this case, I don't want to go back and forth since it is just me hauling them everywhere! It has been nice having the car, especially at night when the boys pass out on the way back. On the bus it was no fun if it was crowded, etc. I have been perfectly happy taking the bus as needed, however. But with the two sets of little legs, I'd prefer the least amount of headache! ;)

Our Q7 is entirely black inside and out, however, so it is NOT going to be nice in the florida sun... :faint:

My goodness! You have been busy!!!

Congratulations on the move!!! The house sounds wonderful -- I love older homes and am looking forward to hearing and seeing all about your 1950's Cape. It sounds perfect to me!

And working on your Masters? I know what you mean about it taking up a huge chunk of time. I breathed a sigh of relief when we finished this semester. The next one starts June 11 for me. Are you taking classes this summer?

Hurray for a DHS day! Can't beat TSM and Star Tours! We haven't ridden the new ride yet, so we are super excited to see what that is like! Ours won't be until Friday, July 6 -- I have Writer's Stop down on my Wish List for that park. :thumbsup2

DHS day sounds fun and that cookie looks incredible, thanks for the heads up on that one

beware the cart of glowing spinning thingies! it will cost you!

Yes! Thank you! We are excited too... lots to sort out and finalize once we get back from Disney, but summer allows that for us. We are buying the house from someone we know, so no realtor was needed, which helps with flexibility, etc. We have been able to get everything locked into place so these details are off my mind for now! NOW we just get through the year, go on vacation, and then get ready for a very busy July and August!!

NO, not doing school over the summer. I decided that I didn't need to, and it will be good for me to take a break with all this happening.

I rode Star Tours with Michelle, there are apparently several incarnations of it, so it should be fun to try the different "tours"! I think we planned for DHS on Friday, too!!! We can stand in line together!!! LOL!!! I'll run to get your FPs to TSM if you want!!! I am our designated runner, because I know how to work a crowd...;)

We have DHS on the 2nd, AK on the 3rd, followed by our dinner at Ohanas with you all, then Epcot the 4th, MK the 5th, 6th is DHS, and 7th is AK and Epcot. We leave on the train on the 8th, instead of driving, so we don't get to stay as long as we would have usually stayed, so probably only MK for a short while on the 8th... may do AK some on the 6th or 5th as well, so DH gets to go... going to check what the hours are in that time frame, we have never stayed late at AK, so not sure if we will take advantage of that. He comes very very early on the 4th, not the 3rd, I am afraid, b/c we are not sure if his flight will connect in DC correctly on the 3rd. We are still working that out.

Our current plans have us at AK on the 3rd! But we are braving the MK on the 4th.

I never would have guessed you weren't overly fond of RnRC after we rode it! Of course, we were distracted by the need to clean iced coffee out of someone's bag....... :rolleyes1

The new Star Tours was awesome wasn't it? I just know your boys are going to love it! Jared is looking forward to seeing all the changes in September, so I see a few rides on that one in my future.

My vote would be movie on the beach after dinner, you'll be wiped after that full day :thumbsup2

Bwahaha!!! :rotfl2: Oh you are so right! My poor Vera mailbag will never be the same! Who knew that going upside down with a refillable mug could be so messy...
I have to sy I didn't mind it, but RnRC is an Everest for me ... Once a trip! I dont know how I am going to survive universal when the time comes!
Cant wait to show them Pooh's new queue and HM! I think Peter pan has one now, too? Where are you staying in Sept?

Wowza! You HAVE been busy! How exciting to be moving. The commute can definitely make a huge difference in your day. Good for you guys for making the decision to move. I don't envy you the packing but once it's done you will be so happy! Having a park nearby will be awesome. And I for one will be interested in your tales of renovation and redocorating your new home... I love that stuff and getting new ideas. :) Not that I do anything with the ideas but I do like seeing them... :upsidedow

I'm 90% sure that the Star Wars speeder vehicle thingy photo op was still there a couple of weeks ago. Love that ride! The droid factory thing looks really cool!!

So looking forward to another HappyDog family WDW adventure!

Oh!! By the way, finally tried the Bluezoo Crab Nachos this past trip. Sooooo good! :thumbsup2 Thank you for the recommendation!!

Oh yes that cart is trouble!!! LOL!!!

You'll have an amazing time, no question. I thought the fireworks on the fourth were amazing!

I know, right? ;)

Beach Club :beach: Can't wait to use Christine and Anita's private entrance!

Yippee!!!! You'll love it there! Jared will have a ball in the pool!!! Have a tangerine dream for me!!!!!! :thumbsup2 I'll be having my own in a few months, mind you :rotfl2: But not in September!

Oh I know, I know. It has been HUGELY busy... But you are right, once it is done it will make a big difference! We are doing a few things right before we move in -- a few flooring upgrades, and paint... The rest are projects that will require more planning. The timeline before school, etc. will be so tight, we just want to get in and get settled, with some "living in the house" to know what we are really going to do.

I'm 90% sure that the Star Wars speeder vehicle thingy photo op was still there a couple of weeks ago. Love that ride! The droid factory thing looks really cool!!

Oh GOOD!!! So glad you tried them!!! They are our favorite!!! I do think the droids will be fun for the kids, and I am getting so excited for this trip. Planning an update this weekend!

OMG those droids look awesome and light sabers are super cool!!!!!!!

I agree!!! :thumbsup2

YAY!!!!

Okay 39 days, 39 days people!!! in 39 days we are boarding a train to WDW!

in 40 days I will be pulling in to THIS fabulous location

summer2010771.jpg

YAY!!!!! :hyper:

Okay, got that out of my system!! LOL!

What a fabulous day we have here in Maryland!

Sunny, high 70s, beautiful! Considering I was up until 2am THIS morning for the prom, I am not sure WHAT I am doing up right now at 8am, but a nap in the sunshine this afternoon is definitely on the schedule!!! :rotfl:

So my last post was our 5th day in Disney, spent at Disney Hollywood Studios for the day, followed by dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe! I am not sure how the evening will end, be it movie on the beach to see the water parade :) LOVE that show... OR, maybe a quick rendezvous somewhere... At any rate, we'll have some flexibility for certain. BUT today, which is July 3rd, by the way!!! We will be heading to...

Disney263.jpg

I love this park, it is so pretty!

summer2010307.jpg

WE will of course be heading here a few times during the day...

summer2010198.jpg

But probably not for our first ride of the day!!! :rotfl: Kali is our FAVORITE family ride at the Animal Kingdom without question!

Because we have not been to see the shows at the AK for a while, Nemo, and Festival of the Lion King, we will be doing that for sure.

Disney217.jpg

The boys will probably not remember them too much, and I want to see them again. I figure we'll make our tour of the park based on the first showing for one of these.

At some point we will be stoping here...

summer2010218.jpg

Well, I will be stoping here! The boys will want popcorn or ice cream, so we'll take a break together!!! ;)

I do NOT intend to ride EVEREST on this day... we will wait for DH to get in before we tackle this... Both DS6 and I have the same opinion of Everest...

summer2010310.jpg

Well, we DID when he was 5... NOW, I am not so sure!!! LOL! :crazy2:

I am sure we will grab fast passes to the SAFARI, or, for a first, we may go to this attraction right away, maybe the animals will be out in the earlier part of the day? :confused3 We'll see.

I know we will have to go see It's Tough to be a Bug! AND I suspect we will be riding Dinosaur again... LUNCH will be at Flame Tree BBQ without a doubt!

I don't know if we'll stay for the parade, it depends on the timing, I suspect we'll want to leave before that, to go enjoy some pool time and relaxation.

SO, for the EVENING FUN, I have reservations at The Wave, and at Cali Grill. But, we may just have aquick service dinner at the Magic Kingdom, because we are planning to rendezvous with Charleston Princess, WigD and JenJolt and their families! This is a DISMeet I am looking forward to!!! :yay: I will have already been tagging along with Jen and Anita I am sure, LOL!, but it will be a fun evening to all be together!!! We plan to meet somewhere close, or at the Magic Kingdom for the 4th of July FIREWORKS DISPLAY, which Disney runs two nights, the 3rd and the 4th...

Disney313.jpg

THESE were the crowds that same night in 2009... GASP!!!

Disney303.jpg

BUT, once the show started, I don't think anyone thought about being in a crowd. :crowded: IT was spectacular!!!!

Disney305.jpg

I cannot wait to see this display again. I can't wait to see my friends!!!! GOOD news is that the park is open until 1am. NOW, I know we will not be staying that late, but I know we will be staying a little longer to allow all the crowds from the fireworks to exit the park... I am very glad we are staying at the Wilderness Lodge! I don't think I plan to drive on this night!!!! OR, if I do, we'll keep dinner at the contemporary!!!

Well, that is an update of sorts, next up some PURCHASES and PLANNING for the trip, as well as JULY 4th!!!

Have a great day everyone!!!

FORTY DAYS!!!!

Love that you are planning to see the shows at DAK! I bet the boys will really enjoy seeing them again. It will also be a great way to take a cool break!

I think we are planning on seeing the fireworks on the 3rd from the Poly beach with MeMom. Let me know what you think!

Hello! I hope you are feeling better! You know, I seem to remember a discusion about this, and yes I remembered as soon as I saw your post -- you are eating at Ohanas then, too, right??!! :p

I really just want to be in the park that evening to get the full effect of the surround fireworks, so I will of course see you guys well before that day, and evening! :thumbsup2

Yes, we are eating at O'hana that night as well as the 5th! ::yes:: Megan and Harper will be there and I think viewing from the beach will work best for Harper's ears, IF she stays awake!

You will have to give me a report of how it was in the park!

Great plans, especially the DIS meet! So great that you are getting to meet CP, Jen, and Wigd all at the same time!

The 4th of July Castle looks amazing!

Prom chaperone? My son Nick has his prom Friday night too. His GF's dress, shoes, earrings, hair - stunning. I'll post some pics the next time I update my TR.

Wasn't the weather fabulous yesterday?????? BEST WEATHER DAY EVER!

So the boys are fans of EE????? I wonder how many of my nephews will brave the Yeti? I am hoping at least one or two.

Yes! Thank you! We are excited too... lots to sort out and finalize once we get back from Disney, but summer allows that for us.

I am going to need to see pictures! ::yes::

I rode Star Tours with Michelle, there are apparently several incarnations of it, so it should be fun to try the different "tours"! I think we planned for DHS on Friday, too!!! We can stand in line together!!! LOL!!! I'll run to get your FPs to TSM if you want!!! I am our designated runner, because I know how to work a crowd...;)

I am the designated FP runner, too. We can "run" together, and if we get sidetracked then...LOL!

Our days look about the same -- MK on the 3rd, Epcot on the 4th, MK on the 5th, DHS on the 6th, and AK on the 7th. :thumbsup2 We will be having lots of fun!!!

Oh my goodness, you are so right. I saw your link on FB and checked it out... I'll have to limit them to one!

I think Connor and I need to make a couple of those, too. Very cool. I was afraid they were only for SWW, but I see it is going to be a permanent fixture.

Okay 39 days, 39 days people!!! in 39 days we are boarding a train to WDW!

Woo hoo! Forty-four days for us! Hurray! Hurray!

I am so excited about this, I can barely contain it!!!

THESE were the crowds that same night in 2009... GASP!!!

Disney303.jpg

Do NOT post pictures like that!:laughing: You know I am deathly afraid of these crowds! BUT I will fight them just to see the fireworks.

I cannot wait to see this display again. I can't wait to see my friends!!!! GOOD news is that the park is open until 1am. Me too! Me too! Can.Not.Wait! I saw this morning that MK will be open until 1am. That could be a lot of fun if I can keep my crew awake and going.

Your plans look amazing!
Love both shows at AK.
I can't believe your trip is so close. When do you take out the suitcases?
