Operation FOURTH! a July PTR - June 24th, shopping errands and lists!

Well HELLO!!!!!

WELCOME to another adventure with Happy Dog and The Family!!!

This is my SUMMER PTR Another fabulous summer of fun in the WORLD! We have not been to Disney for a full-length vacation since Summer of 2009, last summer we had a great summer on the Disney Dream, with a week at Vero Beach and a short stay at WDW. So to go for 10 days is getting me pretty excited!

We are off, well, we will SOON be off , for a Fourth of July extravaganza at Disney World!!!

We plan to spend TEN action-packed, summer-fun filled days in Disney, arriving on June 28th, and departing on July 8th! It should be another summer to remember for the HD Family!!!

We have NEW restaurant experiences TWO resort stays and lots of tried and true plans with some new twists in store… as well as some fabuous DIS meet time with friends!!!

And what better way to kick this PTR off, but with a MINI TR for a short Mom and Dad DREAM escape cruise with a one night stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge -- coming up in 21 days!!!!

Here we are! Introductions coming in the NEXT post, but just so you have a name with the face and the faces you'll be seeing for our summer fun!

This is LAST summer, on the Disney Dream! Are we scary Pirates or what?! DS6 is usually all dimples, but a Pirate doesn't have dimples...

I have a great deal of fun writing PTRs, AND TRs for all our Disney fun…. I have links to all our past trips, with kids and without, in my signature... BUT, I hope you’ll join me as we count down to another great Disney vacation…

This summer's trip is similar to our past Disney trips, in that we hope to try some new things, see and do what we love most, and basically enjoy experiencing everything we love about Disney and vacationing Disney-style with our children (AND just by ourselves, too!!)

My DH and i both work in the education profession -- he is a teacher, and I am an administrator. We do different things with our vacation budget, but our summer usually includes a few epic trips, and Disney usually factors in there some where... and this PTR will serve as the countdown for one of them!!!

Here are our two kiddos ... DS6 and DS9. They will be 7 and 10 this coming trip!

You are seeing them in front of the holiday gingerbread house at Thanksgiving, onboard the Disney Magic -- we went on a 7 night Eastern Caribbean cruise!

Here they are hamming it up at Blizzard Beach last summer...

I never seem to take enough photos of us as a family, or get them, but the most recent is one we had taken on the Thanksgiving Cruise ...

We've had some great Disney vacation experiences... When I thought how to introduce this PTR I started looking through all our pictures. WHAT a mistake !!! LOL!!! It just reminded me how much we have done, and how lucky we've been. Maybe a short walk down memory lane will be okay here, I hope you'll indulge me!!

Here is our FIRST FOURTH of July...

Not the best photo, but they are sporting Tshirts I made for the occasion!! (courtesy of a great DISigner, of course! I just supplied the iron LOL!!!)

We spent the Fourth at Epcot, and we will be doing the same this trip!!! BY luck, we were able to get a walk-up reservation at Le Cellier. AND, we are doing that again, too (but I got an ADR ahead of time LOL!!! Not counting on that luck a second time!)

Now, we have been at other times of the year, too....

Fall, Halloween and MNSSHP!

We even had a chance to do DISNEYLAND for Halloween!!!

Food and Wine!!

DS9 battled Darth that trip!!

We were fortunate to have CHRISTMAS at the World, too ...

Waking up on Christmas morning at Disneyworld was really special!

We even tried the Pirate's League, ARGH!!!

Last summer, besides the cruise, we also spent five nights at Disney's Vero Beach!!

Whether it is summer, or fleeing a snow storm (snowmaggedon sent us to WDW in a hurry!!)

The good news is, no matter what we have been lucky enough to do, we always have a great time and great memories that include Disney. And I guess that is why we keep coming back for more... So since I have spent so much time taking these photos over the years, I have decided to use this PTR to share our plans, all the planning and NEW news of course, but I will be looking for old pictures to help me tell the story!!! STARTING with a photo of Cinderella's castle ...

Well that photo was from the summer, I never got my act together enough to post it for that TR! LOL!!! So I thought I would use it for this one! I wish DS6 was at least smiling, or more in the photo, but that is okay, he was playing the part!!! LOL!!!

The photo in the next post, the one at Thanksgiving in front of the gingerbread house was the other posed image I purchased on the cruise... They look so.... angelic...

Sorry I will be missing out on all of the Dis fun in July....maybe you will just have to make a repeat performance in October
