Operation Big Thunder: the Dole Whip Conspiracy COMPLETE

Don’t know if you’re going to consider these as too obvious but…

Obvious is usually the only level I work on.

Great update! And I can feel with you about all the walking at Epcot. It is a huge park and I have made the mistake of touring with too much back and forth as well... I guess if you don't have a lot of time, you tend to try to see sooo much that you forget that this will tire you. Happened to me at DLP this summer when I was running around from park opening at 10am until 11pm when the fireworks/projection show Dreams! started. I nearly collapsed at the end of that day....

We've only got one day in Epcot! You can sleep when you're dead!

Thankfully, we were fully expecting to be exhausted. That's all part of the experience.

Lie. NO..AK. Even though I'm a day late and a dollar (or 10) short

That's ok. You can pay me when you see me. I know you're good for it.

Oh, and duly noted on the guess.

Gee thanks, now that song will be stuck in my head the next time I ride through there.

You're quite welcome! Just remember to sing it in Spanish.

Love the shirts! And good job on the Brazillian dodge.

That was quite a lot of back and forth. Pedometer anyone?

That would have been interesting to see the final number. We weren't done with our walking yet!

Sigh...

It happens = Forest Gump

Yah…
But since employers are convinced that you need one, the dad in me says I gott’a make sure he earns one (or at least give him the opportunity to do so).

Yeah, I know. It's just not as much fun and when it costs roughly the GDP of Guam, it makes you re-consider.

OK, since you agree that one of the lines I flagged (but couldn’t place) back there in the update may well indeed have been a specifically added as a quote...
I’ll take a shot at this one:

Is it possible that you were thinking of “Planes Trains and Automobiles” at the time?

I’ve found it buried in a scrip from “The Office” as well, but I like is as a film quote better.

Indeed I was! But Glenn picked up the scent first.

Great update, Mark. I love that you were doing things you've never done before...it's always fun to experience new things.

Exactly. As long as we still ride Soarin' and Mission: Space. Because they rock.

I love the shirts Julie made. :thumbsup2

:goodvibes

Our kids loved those fountains by the Journey Into Imagination Pavillion...they could spend hours there every trip. But I'm a little disappointed that there was no visiting Figment...the Purple guy needs some love.

The fountains are great. So much fun. And the Purple Guy will get some love when he apologizes for being mean to me.

Actually, no. I still hate the ride. :rotfl2:

I agree. He's still awesome even if his ride sucks now. :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

Now? :rotfl:

Agreed, although this version is much better than the second version. Rumor has it that they may do away with the pavillion. :(

I absolutely do not want that. I just want Dreamfinder back. That's all I'm asking for. :confused3

I think I'd like to see what the planned replacement is first. :scratchin

We were at my mom and dad's last night and DS was drinking from an old Figment cup that I got when we went in 1985. Brings back memories. One of my first character meets ever was with Dreamfinder and Figment and that purple... um thing... became one of my favorite characters. :lmao::rotfl2:

You mean Grimace? :rotfl2:

Saturday Night Live. Eddie Murphy as Raheem Abdul Mohammed, interviewing Ron Howard.

Ah, there it is. Thanks Randall! One bonus point for you.

Opie = The Andy Griffith Show

Cunningham = Happy Days!

I was going for SNL with that one.

Really?

Indeed I was! But Glenn picked up the scent first.

Yah, I see that now…
I missed where he had already picked that one up.

Typical… :sad2: :lmao:

It also seems that I haven’t declared a lie as of yet so I suspect I ought to correct that oversight. Once again, there’s nothing obvious (other then the park size thing, but if you’re are talking about the amount of walking required… Epcot wins). I’m heading off in a different direction. I think it’s a timing issue this time around. Two sentences caught my eye…

the standby entrance looked virtually empty. It boasted a wait time of 10 minutes.

The stand-by is rarely that short in the summer time, but you seem to have had no trouble getting onto the various attractions that day, so I think I’ll let that one go and call out this other specifically time related sentence instead…

I’d say we hung out here for about 10 minutes or so, just letting them get drenched.

My suspicion is that since the kids really enjoy playing with the fountain… that you were there a bit longer then 10 minutes.

As a hint/reminder to everyone, in chapter 1 there was only one sentence intended as the lie, but another one was called out as being factually incorrect and I gave credit for it as well. In this case, I was a little careless in stating the size of the parks--I was thinking in terms of the amount of walking, not the actual square yardage of the park. My bad.

So we'll just say there are 2 lies in this chapter.

This was definitely leading to some confusion, so I tried to clear it up in the last post.

I did mention before that we were really surprised at the crowd levels.

My suspicion is that since the kids really enjoy playing with the fountain… that you were there a bit longer then 10 minutes.

The determining factor is when/where our dinner ADR was scheduled.

Why not go for 20 points?

Fair enough.
I still think it has something to do with time. Andy might be right and I did considered that one, but I’m staying with the fountain. There’s just something about y’all not minding that the kids were getting “drenched” (and the time it takes to dry out) that makes me think you had a little bit more time then you let on.

So officially:

Lie-1: Park size
Lie-2: Time at the fountain

Ok, 2 lies.

You lied about the size of EPCOT. :rolleyes1

Says who? :confused3:rotfl2:

And I'm going to say the second lie is the part about diverting to the regular line to by pass the tour group at Mission: Space.

But why would I want to stay behind them? Besides, unused FastPasses make good scrapbook items for the girls.

Thank you, cowboy, I'll take it under advisement.

I will say that the 2nd un-true statement is not an easy one to spot.

We sure can beat a joke unmercifully into the ground, can't we?

I'll guess that:

1) You messed up in saying that Epcot is the "largest" park
2) Dave did not need coaxing to get through the dark part of the Mexico ride. (C'mon Dave!) There's some fishy timing going on with the fountains and Mission Space and all that, but I'll try a different guess. <fingers crossed>

I can't argue with that logic. I don't think it was so much wanting to stay behind them. I just don't think you moved over to the standby line and breezed through quite as seamlessly as you said. :confused3

I know whenever I change to go to a "better line" it always bites me in the a... butt. :lmao:

A couple of comments I meant to post from the last chapter....

First,

It's good to see Scotty sighting with the correct eye....so often you see it the other way around. :rotfl2:

And secondly, you caught an infamous Moroccan architecural element in one of your pictures. (right side) I never knew where it was exactly, but this picture helps pin down the location.

That definitely happens to me at the grocery store, Wal-mart, etc. I always end up with the lady who doesn't really want to buy the stuff in her cart, or the guy who needs 8 price-checks, or...

Use your open eye, Frank. And yes, I'm glad he's got good aim when pointing weapons at me.

Well...thanks for pointing that out. :rotfl2:

Still time to put in/change guesses. I have a Photopass picture I still need to scan in before I do the next update.
