Opening of new fantasyland & Beauty & The beast castle

I am looking to plan a trip in 2012, what is the projected opening of any part of this..

This is info that was discussed by an imagineer at the recent D23 convention.

Early 2012 - Half of Storybook Circus with double dumbo, great goofini coaster, fantasyland train station, casey jr.

Late 2012 (November-December) - Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid ride, Be Our Guest restaurant, Beauty and the Beast village, Belle meet-and-greet, Castle wall

Early 2013 - Remaining half of Storybook Circus with Pete’s Silly Sideshow

Late 2013 - Seven Dwarfs Mine Train roller coaster

Likely what will happen is at some point next year they will narrow it down to "Coming Fall of 2012 - Item X", however, an official date of opening any of the attractions won't come until 2-3 months beforehand.

For example - Carsland in DCA is currently being shown as "Coming Summer 2012". This could be May, this could be August, this could be October.

If you are really set on seeing some new stuff, you should probably either plan late in the year, or even wait until 2013.

If you're someone who visit infrequently -- less than every two years -- I'd agree with Pete and suggest going in 2013, even late in the year so you can see the new coaster (assuming it opens on time, which is no guarantee). Even if the coaster isn't ready yet, you'd see everything else.

Isn't "On Time" for the coaster 2014?

Crazy4wdw said in the second post that Imagineers at D23 told him late 2013, I was going by that.

Considering the pace of construction at WDW, that seems optimistic. But who knows. I don't see why they'd deliberately underestimate the construction time, so I'm sure they really believe they can get it done by late 2013 if that's what they're saying.

Whether or not they really do get it done by then, of course, is another story.

I was watching Video coverage of D23 and the Imagineer said it was gonna open 2014. (if at that. We know TDO's recent record with stage 2 of expansions!)

The gist of this conversation just demonstrates what I said...no one really knows what will open when. If you need to plan a trip around it being open, wait until 2013 at the least.

An imagineer did not provide that info to me directly, I read it on another Disney fan board by someone who attened the D23 convention.

I have also read on other Disney fan sites that the Dwarfs’ mine coaster may not open until 2014. Disney has not posted any specific opeining dates (that I'm aware of).
