Wow! I put in a request for booking with my TA for a Western during June in a 5E, but if the price is comparable to this Eastern price, we will probably just have to cancel. That is over $2500 more than I paid for our 2013 Eastern during the same month in a 5A.

Yes. I could never pay the summer prices. We did a 4 nighter on the Dream last Jan. for $1492 for 2A, 1C (14), a 6 night Western Car. on the Magic in May for $2400, and a 7night Fantasy Eastern Car. for $3500 last Nov/Dec. 3 cruises last year on 3 different ships, and 3 separate itineraries for about $7500 total. We just booked a 5 nt cruise on the Wonder for $1646 next Jan. but, I understand that everyone can't cruise in Jan and Dec. I feel for those that can only cruise in the Summer.

That's us, 2dults and 2 kids and we did three cruises last year for under 9500 cat 5c or higher including one on the Fantasy. If I ever have to cruise in the Summer I will be switching to RCI. Waiting to see prices for 5/23 Eastern and 8/31 Alaska.

This is the same price as booking 2A/2K in the 9C cabins that are left for this August's Alaska cruises. I thought prices were lowest on opening day, so I have been waiting to switch my OBB to next year. Feeling disappointed (and broke)!

A bit more than I expected, which surprised me as it looked like the prices went down for the European cruises. I was guestimating about $1200 for family of four for the two night and $1600 for the three night. I put it on a hold and will think about it for a few days.

August prices to Alaska are typically a lot lower to start with. They usually end up offering GT rates the last couple cruises of the season.
