I wanted to post this because I haven't read about it before, but it was really fun. Our ADR was for 5:00, and apparently Chef Mickey is closed until 5 p.m. (after breakfast & lunch). So, we were in line to get our picture taken, and a CM approached us and asked if my kids would like to help Mickey open the restaurant. They said yes, and were taken to the buffet line, where the unhooked the red velvet rope, and walked the red carpet with Chef Mickey. They then got to sign Mickey's autograph album, and get their picture taken with him and got special commemorative cards. It was a blast and made our first night really special!

:thumbsup2That is so wonderful. Your children must have loved it. We always do CM for Breakfast & Dinner. My two boys love it. :cool1:

My children got to do this last year. They loved it. (It happened to fall on my sons birthday.) Glad you got to enjoy some pixie dust!!!

My kids got to do it last year too, but I thought it was part of the year of a million dreams thing. Good thing to know they still do that. It is such a neat experience for the kids.

Our son got to do it too in 2007 and we had never heard of it before. Quite magical and that too was our first night! We thought it the best way to start our vacation. :thumbsup2
