do all of the parks have opening ceremonies or is it just MK - and also how long before opening time do we need to be there in order to see it ?

we have been to MGM during the star wars weekends and they put on a show where there are stormtroopers above theentrance and they get controled by the force. At epcot they bring out a bus with mickey and friends on it,like the bus which visits the resorts but this is bacicaly to slow you down going into park so no mad comotion, they do somthing similar at AK but we go straight past to our rides

I don't think they have an opening ceremony as such at MGM but, certainly, at Epcot and AK they do.

At AK, you are let in and then stopped at the rope drop. Mickey and friends come along on the bus before the rope is dropped. I have never been to Epcot at opening but I believe there is something similar there.

We've only been at the MK and AK opening ceremonies. We were there about 1/2 hour before official opening time and had a really good view - especially at the MK where we were right in front of the train station! :goodvibes

I have heard that MGM and Epcot both do an opening ceremony, but not quite so elaborate. Can't confirm, though as we've never made it to those parks quite so early! :teeth:

Immediately after the ceremony at MK, there were lots of characters in the square just after entering the park. Some of the characters were the more "hard-to-find" ones, too! ;)
