Open Toed Shoe Pledge...Are You In??

I will commit to a few but not all ;)

I will touch up my toes on an as needed basis, if anyone has a problem with my quick touch-ups feel free to offer me a free spa day with pedicure and babysit my 3 kids while I'm gone and I'll be happy to oblige :)

I love OPI polish. For me, it goes on the smoothest and last the longest of any polish I have ever used.

My favorites are:
Private Jet - a sparkly charcoal color
I'm not really a waitress - rich ruby red
Bubble Bath - the sweetest baby pink color

I will have to check out the shrimp color.

Thank you smschex, I came back on this thread just to see if someone knew! :goodvibes

Did I see that we the "public" can buy OPI brand nail polish? I was under the impression that only professionals could purchase it from retailers that sold directly to the professionals... but seems like I saw an advertisement at Target or somewhere the other day. Did my eyes deceive me?

Do you think OPI is all that, or it is just a bunch of hype?

I MUCH prefer China Glaze polishes to OPI, myself.

This:

If your toenails are soooooo long that you can swoop down on a lake and catch a trout, say NO to the flip flop!

made my day. Thank you for sharing!

Have to check out the Cajun Shrimp OPI and the China Glaze - which I think is another brand of polish?

OPI also does a line for Sephora, if you have one near you. I've found they work very well also!

Cajun Shrimp is a gorgeous coral color, looks good on most people.

I love Bubble Bath, but also have fallen in love with Pinking of you and Got a date to knight. I only use these on my fingers though as I like bright colors on my toes.

I stick with Cajun shrimp or I am not really a waitress.

During Football season I stick with the deep purples.. GEAUX LSU!

As much as I hate feet(even my own)I can't help BUT look at them inpublic. I dont why:confused3

I have this problem too...nothing is worse than standing in a line for a long time...I just can't stop looking...

I hate it when companies put feet in ads...that's all I stare at...it's especially worse when they use not the best feet ;)

People spend waaaay too much time caring about what other people do.

I've never had a professional pedicure. I think I do a pretty good job on my own feet. Question for you ladies, though: what do you do if you break a toenail? I'm a klutz, constantly stub my toes, and always bust a toenail. I want to wear sandals, but I don't want to freak people out by my uber-short nail or the majorly crooked one.

I am so in!

I am obsessed w/ making sure my hands & feet look good even if nothing else does. I have also learned that while a salon pedi is a great treat, I can usually do a better job myself w/ the help of a few basic supplies. Scrub & pumice or ped-egg, good moisture cream, my glass nail file (I swear by this for my fingers & toes both!), whatever polish I want to use- usually something bright like China Glaze Strawberry Fields, a glitter like Zoya Astra or something dark like OPI Black Cherry Chutney, and a quick dry topcoat (Seche Vite is AMAZING stuff!).

I can't stand seeing feet that are not taken care of/ healthy looking at least. The WORST feet I have ever seen was one of my history proffessors. He had HUGE calluses, really long, yellow toe nails, and insisted on wearing flip-flops long after flip-flop season had given way to boot season. UGH! I was extremely tempted to leave a gift certificate & business card for a local salon on his podium so that he'd figure out the ugliness of the distracting situation that was his feet.
