So I did a somewhat search and just could not find the right answer. So what Restaurants are open During the Party?, it looks like we will be eating in the park for Dinner, so what might be our options?

The Cafe Orleans is definitely open; I asked for the latest reservation available on Halloween night and they gave me 10 PM! :rotfl: I moved it to 5:30 for now (6 PM party start day) because in 2010, the park just seemed to get busier after the party officially started. (I'd expected crowds would vanish, but the park seemed very busy when the party started, so I don't mind missing a little bit of party time while we're eating.)

If it turns out party crowds are reported as lower than I anticipate, I may change that reservation to 5 or even switch to another day during our trip and do counter service for the party.

I believe French Market and Rancho del Zocalo are CLOSED due to party happenings.

In 2010 the Bengal Barbecue was open. I'd have to guess most counter-service places are open (aside from the two I just mentioned as closed), but I don't know about sit-down.

Have a great trip!

Thanks and I did not know you could make resvp, thanks. Love cafe Orleans. Do you if they came out with what is and not open for the party's?.

Carnation Cafe is open. I made reservations there during one of the scheduled MHP. Don 't know if they close early or anything though.

I don't recall any official list of what's open and what's not, but if there is one, hopefully someone will post it! Any list would be subject to change for 2012 but would probably give you a good idea.

If you're considering a sit-down restaurant, you can call, or email dine@disneyland.com, and ask if the restaurant is open at a certain time, or just ask for a reservation at a certain time. If the restaurant is not open during the party, they would tell you it's not available, of course.

I'm not sure they know anything about counter-service restaurants, though. And in fact, Disney could probably make a fairly quick decision whether or not to keep a counter-service restaurant open...maybe not day of, but they probably don't need to know a month in advance. So they may not have completely decided yet.

I really think we will go with cafe Orleans, although we will do blue bayou this trip(i keep telling my self i will there at least once LOL), but not on our first MNSSHP night. If they have the BBQ at thunder ranch i might try there to. I am going to call tomorrow or Monday to make the resv.

According to last's year Party Map :

Gibson Girl's Ice Cream Parlor
Blue Ribbon Bakery (so maybe Jolly Holiday)
Plaza Inn
Refreshment Corner
Royal Street Veranda
Stage Door Cafe
Hungry Bear Restaurant
Bengal Barbecue
Redd Rockett's Pizza Port
Tomorrowland Terrace

Great list, jsebsirois. I'd been especially curious to know if Hungry Bear is open, and if I do decide to do counter service instead of sit-down for the party, it's very useful to have a good idea of my options.... Thank you!

great list, thank you, i did not see cafe orleans there, but they added them this year, so maybe they will add more?

Jsebsirois's list appears to be JUST counter service, though I recall hearing that people ate at sit-down restaurants last year. Probably they were just telling guests which restaurants they could walk up to and get food without waiting for a table.

Fortunately, you can call or email for a reservation for a sit-down restaurant right now and Disney will tell you if they will be open during the party. :)

That is good news, when we went last year it was closed from 7 on, last reservation was for 5:40.

Good to know! If I had a reservation on one of the early party nights, I'd almost certainly call to make 100% sure. They made a point to say that "Guests booked after 5:00pm must have tickets to Mickeys Halloween
party." so I think it's a plan for this year, but Disney has been known to change their minds. (Once they moved my reservation 3 or 4 hours ahead, without ever telling me! :confused3 Good thing I called to confirm.)
