That is the week I am going also and right now I am booked at a Standard room at Coronado Springs. I noticed they still have availability for that week. I was hoping to stay at Port Orleans since I never stayed there yet. Does anyone know what the room rates are at Port Orleans? Right now I am paying $279 a night for a standard at Coronado Springs.

We’re booked at CBR for our Oct/Nov trip. We stayed at POR in 2018, and wanted to stay there this trip, but obviously it wasn’t available when we booked. Now that there may be some hope of the Port Orleans resorts opening, I can’t decide if we should stay with CBR or move to POR if it opens.

Any pros/cons or opinions for either would be appreciated.

I've never stayed at CBR, but we love POR. Great themed pool, good food options, beautiful walking/ambience, nice rooms - and I believe it isn't as spread out as CBR. However, it is not on the Skyliner path, so if that is important to you, CBR has the edge. We are POR fans, and would chose it every time.

A definite plus for CBR is the Skyliner, but I just loved POR when we stayed there.

We stayed at Yacht Club for a special treat last year, and the Skyliner was fun but not always the quickest way in the morning if you rope drop. Could always ride the skyliner for fun on an Epcot or HS day... that's what we did previously because we enjoy it as a ride.

Wait - am I late to the game? Is there news of a reopening that I missed?

This is my favorite hotel and i wish it would open. I have several reservations in December as Plan
B..C and D. I want Port Orleans to be plan A so i can cancel those.

A big wild card for me is the rental car situation. With shorter park hours in December we don't
want to wait for buses if possible. I also don't want to pay 600 for a car.:(

We used lyft without any issues - not near as expensive as a car and dropped us up front versus in parking lots. :)

I have never used lyft/uber for a park. Im thinking more and more I may have to do this.
Would you say it was around 10-15 each way? so 30 a day? Do you tip them? Where do
they pick you up? *Sorry i have never used Uber or Lyft before.

The times I've done it it's always been under $10. I leave a few bucks of tip in the app if I don't have cash on me.

Would you think it is best to utilize coming back from parks at closing? Coming from West Coast
we are not rope droppers because of time change. So we wil most likely leave from hotel around
10 am. Im assuming won't be long wait for a bus that time in morning? Thanks

I have always had a fantastic experience with the buses at FQ.
Not so much Riverside though.
We have done Lyft to the parks before (notably at like 5AM to DHS when we had to be in the park to get Rise of the Resistance passes lol). It's always been reasonable and they drop you right at the front (except MK of course- always do bus to MK).
