Hi all,

Would someone mind sharing the prices for the different bar packages? i.e., consumption, open, beer and wine, etc.

I would really like to do an open bar if we can swing it, but the $40 for the whole night is SO pricey. Does anyone know if you can have it open for like 2 hours, and if so what is the price per hour?

Thanks!! :cool1:

We had our bar bill done as a "bill on consumption". At the time we were married, the cost of open bar for the cocktail hour plus reception was about the same $40/person. They didn't really promote the bill on consumption option, but is was available if you asked (I found out about it here and on the Disneymooner website.) There was no way that we could justify the open bar option. We factored in 4 drinks/person at $5 per drink (we had about 35 at our reception.) So we prepaid the $700 estimated rather than the $1400 package for premium open bar. We actually ended up with a refund as our cost was just over $500 when the bill came through! In my opinion the package deal is a complete rip off, make sure to explore all of your optioins!

thanks marn913 for giving great advice on the open bar...

I am also going with the bill on consumption option. We don't have very many people coming to our wedding that will drink more than a cocktail or two, so I'm sure we'll be saving money over the $36 ppn it would cost me to do an open bar for our 4.5 hr reception. Disney estimated that each person would drink 5 drinks at an average of $5.50 each - average between alocoholic and soft drinks. We are pretty sure we won't average anywhere near th at much ppn, so we're expecting money back, but we have to pay their estimate upfront.

All of the details on these options came with the EPCOT menus my planner sent me, even though I was planning on asking for the BOC option anyway.

We are doing the package for soda/water, then bill in consumption for alcoholic drinks.
