Well, Miss Goofy, allow me to take this opportunity to say how great it was to meet you!

I also got the flu on Sunday. Did manage to start the race but after abour 40 mins knew that wasn't going to work! Did recover enough by Monday night for the WISHES fireworks cruise and was actually feeling pretty good on Tuesday, just didn't eat anything to exocit for the rest of the trip.

I'm sorry I gave you my cooties--actually by Saturday we were convinced the girls had had food poisoning until my pasta dinner revisited me on Saturday night.

Lisa, I really don't think I caught it from you......could it manifest that quickly? I was so worried about catching a cold from someone on the plane, I think I caught something else instead! You know, it did feel like food poisioning, as I didn't really have any other symptoms except for the 'digestive' ones. That was UNTIL I exerted myself at the race, then got chills and the shakes and I did have a slight fever Sunday afternoon, but that was gone in just a few hours. I rested all day Monday until dinner and the WISHES cruise and by Tuesday I was up and ready for the parks (just didn't want much to eat!).

BTW did you love French Quarter? I really enjoyed my stay there last April. I liked the 'privacy' curtain and think they should add those to all the rooms in the value resorts too.

I think I gave it too you Miss Jackie--My daughter's (we found out later) were exposed on Thursday--my youngest was sick 24 hours later--followed by the oldest on Friday evening (after I returned from Biergarten)--so I was exposed to them for 24 hours and got sick and you to me and a little more than 24 hours you got sick. My husband was sick with me. My coaches who kept hugging me on Sunday knowing I was sick--became ill within 24 hours (the one I hugged) and his wife the next day after that.

So the long answer to your question is yes--I believe it was me
Close friends of ours who also got exposed from the same source on Wednesday--followed almost the same exact illnes pattern as my family--me and friend it turns out got sick at EXACTLY the same time on Saturday.

A wretched illness and I'm sorry it cost you the race

Oh sweetie, it didn't cost me the race.......it just shortened it by a few miles....I probably wouldn't have made it past about 6 anyway! AND, I did lose some weight!!!!! And thankfully, it went away almost as quickly as it came on and I was able to enjoy a lovely visit with my sister.
