I have to tell you all honestly about my eating- I have been terrible. I do not describe myself as an emotional eater but I have been binging for 2 days. Rice Crispies between meals constantly. I feel that I am ready to stop the madness with eating. I was in limbo waiting for yesterday to see what was going to happen. I think now things are going to be better. It is not going to be easy getting back on track because my body has re-established a fat/sugar additction.
Oh, you have to cut yourself a break....Everyone has a tough week::yes:: . I do understand what you mean about it not being easy to getting back on track- but once you do it for a day, it is easier.

I also try not to let my cheating get past the point of two days, it's easier to go back to the healthier eating that way.

Sending you best wishes for the rest of the week. :wizard:

Jodi- thanks!
Okay- I am not happy with myself- So far I have lost 13 pounds which is great but I feel that I am at a standstill. I have not been counting points lately or excersing. I am just coasting. I have been very lazy. The scale has been up and down this month- I have had too many treats.
I am going back to Ocean City this weekend and I am going to make my main priority clearing my head and thinking about priorities which include family, money, health, work... to name a few.
Today- I must clean my house which is an endless task as I clean one room baby is messing up another :(
Everyone have a great weekend.

I feel your pain really I do. This weight loss is so slow for me as well. I keep telling myself that losing it slow will keep it off. You lost 13 pounds which is wonderful. Keep your chin up. :D

Hi Mary,
It sounds like we are in the same boat right about now. I am not happy with my weight loss either and I am struggling right now. That mini-vacation this weekend sounds good. I hope that you are able to have some quiet time to think and reflect.::yes::

Thank you for the kind and encouraging words that you always leave in my journal.

Have a great weekend!

Happy Monday everyone!
TOM arrived over the weekend. I am feeling kind of blah. The sky is datk and there is has been thunder rolling in the distance all morning. We had horrendous floods here last week and by the grace of God no one was killed. Cars were floating down the street and stuff like that. We are to expect floods again today.
We had a nice weekend, ended up not going to Ocean City- just stayed home and got some housework done and did a lot of hanging out at the pool. Didn't do anything too destructive eating wise.
Today I have had my low-fat granola. Will have scallops and zucchini for dinner. Lunch is undecided- maybe SUBWAY.
Have a good day-
Mary

Oh my goodness, Mary! I hope that the weather has greatly improved in your area and that you have abundant :sunny: to dry up that water! Yikes!:earseek:

I am glad that you had some time to relax this weekend. ::yes:: I hope that you are feeling better today.::yes::

Have a great Tuesday, Mary!

Hi- I am back to having lost 14 pounds total and it is TOM so that isn't too bad.
I am not in a place where I can spend a lot of energy on counting points... I am trying to make good choices, drink water, small portions, etc. I am terrible about excersise- it has been hot and humid here in MD and I have no AC in my house and
the treadmill has become the DREADmill. I will get back into a more disciplined routine with points and excersise but not right now- I feel that pushing myself right now would be certain failure. I think I am better off to take the easy road and just maintain for a while then be strict and fail and end up on a binge at Taco Bell.
My 2 older kids had friends spend the night last night and they didn't get enough sleep- they are both in foul moods. I have to prepare for a meeting tomorrow and they are pouting and bickering with one another and it is driving me nuts. Whining is my pet peeve.
DD just came down crying saying "I'm sad and don't know why." This is gonna be one of those days.
Wish me luck-
Mary
:sunny:

Mary, maintenance sounds like a great idea for you at the moment. Take some time off from being extra strict. You'll be feeling better in no time!

These rainy days have put my family in a blah mood also! I'm sure sunny days are coming again soon! Just ride the wave, Mary!

Hope your day gets sunnier and your kids find their "happy places!"

I hope your afternoon is going better than your morning. There is nothing more grating than whining. I hope the meeting goes well.

Yesterday perked up quickly after my post- the kids were fine they were just out of sorts in the am.
I barely ate a thing yesterday. edy's light ice cream for lunch
banana with peanut butter for dinner and 2 apples.
Weird menu, huh?

Last night we got word that my creepy neighbor is in jail for a parole violation. I think it is because of our report about the Easter candy incident.
I didn't tell you all what happened when we reported the incident-the police and the parole officer both said that what we described showed intent but there was no crime so they couldn't do anything. So we sent a 3 registered letters describing the incident- 1 to the parole officer, 1 to the deputy director of parole & probation for the state of MD, and 1 to the director of P&P. We sent them Friday- he was arrested Tuesday. We figure that is was the letters that caused him to get arrested but we don't know that for sure.
I feel terrible. I thought there would be some relief when something like this happened but there is not. I feel sick and although I know I did what I had to do I actually feel bad for the guy. He is mentally ill. I have no idea what his intentions were when he baited his tree with candy and told us to tell the kids and their friends to come over and get their treats. It could have been a stupid albeit innocent action on his part. He has been in jail for 3 days but we just found out last night- apparently there is no bail review for parole violations so he will be there untill a hearing- no idea when that will be. I am going to stay at my mom's tonight because I am wrought with anxiety here at home.

Luckily all this stress KILLS my appetite.
Have a great day everyone.
Mary

Mary,
 for you today. I am so sorry about all that you have been going through. I think that going to your Mom's house for a little TLC sounds good for you right now. ::yes::

Please know that you will be in our prayers, Mary. I pray that God's peace finds you today and calms your anxious heart. Take good care of you and have a good time at your mom's.::yes::

Mary,

That is good news about the creepy neighbor. I wouldn't stress over your sending letters and therefore feeling responsible- I'm sure something probably happened. I just hope that maybe the court system can help that man out and get him some therapy.

I wouldn't stop eating because of him, that isn't very healthy. When something stresses me out I end up eating all of my meals and then going to the gym to relieve the stress, or going for a nice walk, etc.

Just remember what you did was for your kids and the kids in the neighborhood. ::yes::

Hi Mary,

I think you did the right thing reporting your neighber. It is better that he is away from your children. I hope you are having a relaxing time at your Mom's.

Mary,

I'm so glad to hear the creep is gone. There was nothing innocent in a pedophile baiting a tree with candy. I'm sure his parole instructions were quite clear in what society expected from him in order for him to enjoy his freedom. He is the only person who should feel bad.

Hope your mom is giving you some much deserved tlc.

Take care of you.

The guy is back- he only spent 3 days in jail- I don't know the details.
Anyway- I have been in Ocean City, MD for the past few days- just got back. Funny thing- I decided to go into maintenance and I have lost a pound! Hoorah.
Thanks Beth, Disneygoof, Jodi, Tracy, and Doreen for stopping by. I will catch up on journals tomorrow. Have a good night everyone.
I have lots of unpacking/laundry to do so gotta sign off.
Mary:sunny:

Hi Mary,

Hopefully this guy now realizes that he won't get away with anything on your watch. I hope he is house hunting as we speak. Have a great day.
Beth

Today I am doing some math skills with my kids so they don't regress too much before school starts. We got some Quantum books that work on their old LeapPad and they are really good and educational. My little boy is such a glutton for knowledge. It is a wonderful gift.
I have been spending way too much $$ lately. All of those markdowns at the Disney Store last month were too good to resist. When I was at the beach this weekend I went to the Disney Catalog outlet- it was awesome. They had so much good stuff- CHEAP. I got a bunch of beach towels with beach ball for $3.99 and a few BIG beach towels for $5. Got some more PJs and a pretty nightgown for DD. The toys were so cheap, but the kids were with me and they would be Xmas gifts so I couldn't buy any. They had those cute Mickey toasters or Mickey waffle makers for 29.99. Didn't get them but I wanted to.
I need to clean out DDs closet- am hoping to find some eBayable stuff in there. That is my big project for this weekend.
Have a great day everybody!
Mary

Hi Mary,

I just wanted to stop by and wish you a fabulous weekend. Hope you find some good stuff in your DD's closet.

That is great that you are reviewing the Math skills and not letting any cobwebs develop over the Summer Vacation. I know from personal experience Math was always the tough subject to get back into once the school year starts. Loved English though.

Maybe you said it before, can't remember. What grade are your kids in? Or more appropriate what grade will they be going into? Just curious.

Have a great one.:sunny:

Hi Mary!

I hope that you find a lot of great stuff to eBay.::yes:: I have a ton of stuff waiting here, but haven't had the time to list it yet. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!:sunny:
